I'm currently going through the discovery phase of 'MTL' tanks as well, so far, the 'generic T2 2.4ml' long wick tanks were the only tanks I liked.
I tried a kanger subox mini, an OBS T-VCT, and both didn't satisfy me.
I recently bought a Nautilus Mini, and I have to say it's probably the best I have used thus far.

It holds 2ml (which is not really large enough IMO) and refilling it seems to be a chore because the seals are really tight, and really tough to open.

However, on the good side, It doesn't leak; it's got great air flow control (the air flow control has 3 settings that actually lock into place) and it allows for dripping (close the air flow first)
The drip tip is removable as well.
We bought 2 of them, and my wife dropped hers, and it chipped a hole into the glass, I'd advise a silicone protector ring! You can buy replacement glass as well.

I paid $27 CAD for mine.

Sorry if this has been done to death here.

I just don't get the sub-ohm thing. For me, the taste is nowhere near as good as the smaller MTL tanks.

Everyone talks about the eleaf GS line but I have a huge issue with them. The fill slots are so poorly designed and small that I can NOT fill that tank up without having juice drip though the chimney and all over the place. Otherwise, it's fine but that flaw has gotten to me.

There are sub-ohm tanks coming out like crazy. Are there any choices for the MTL crowd that are considered far better than the rest? I tried going back to my aspire vivi nova only to quickly realized why I left. Gurgling and juice in mouth.

Anyu suggestions would be great.
Highly recommend the nautilus mini with the 1.6 or 1.8 ohm vertical cotton coils, or the Eleaf GS Tank or GS Air M for mouth to lung hitters. Can't recommend the subtank mini, great flavor but mine leaks juice out the airflow holes, and others have had the same problem.

I don't see how y'all have this pronlem. The only time my stm has ever leaked on me is when I did the rba section wicking wrong. I just hate those sections but with the 1,2 coils and second biggest hole it can be great for mtl. Big clouds too but I have to say nautilus mini might actually be a bit better on flavor. I just hate how many dud coils aspire puts out. Or used to. Kanger seems more consistent

Maybe it's the 1.5 coils that leak on STM. I've been looking into but have heard quite a bit of people complain about leaking. David is certainly not alone. I have yet to hear a consensus on what causes it though.

Kangertech now has the VOCC coils in 1.5 and 1.8ohm
I'm really liking the SOCC coils in my PT2'S and Mini Pro Tank 2's. A big improvement from the silica ones. Have also seen I can use the Aerotank bases the regular one for PT2 or PT3 but better for me the Mini for my Mini Pro Tank 2's with that and the SOCC coils it's a new clearomizer tank for me. I never liked the dual coils so stayed with PT2'S and now can use organic cotton coils and air flow adjustment. But better yet if used the Aerotank, PT3, Genitank all that used the Dual Coils now has the Vertical Organic cotton coils....just a suggestion some may want to revisit Kangertech tanks with these Japanese Organic cotton coils, plus the SOCC (horizontal single ones) very easy to rewick. I haven't used the VOCC coils yet but I know the SOCC way superior to Silica ones and easy to rewick but hear the VOCC coils now are just as nice as the Nautilus vertical organic cotton coils

What does socc mean again? Single organic cotton coil?

The juice leaking out the airflow holes on the subtank mini happened with 1.2 ohm VOCCs and with the RBA. Always on the second day of use.. Have some 1.5 ohm horizontal coils to try.

Yeah, after reading tons of reviews and comments, it sounds like the STM has leaking issues for far too many. I've decided to stay away. I have too many leaky tanks.

I just got the innokin isub Apex yesterday and so far I love it. Zero leakage from what reviewers are saying and so far the same for me. Very cool airflow system that keeps everything as it should be. Worth looking into.

Well I really liked the flavor the STM gave me even tootle puffing MTL at 12w. If I can solve the airflow leakage issue without having to vape high vg at 20w it would be good. As it is I don't have time to experiment and really shouldn't have too haha. I'm not into subohming, I go 1 ohm and up but appreciate the recommendation!

You certainly shouldn't have to! These companies all need to invest in some serious QC. We're apparently their testers.

And btw I'm not a sub ohmer either. In fact that 1.2 coil on the Silo Beast is my current favorite (though the thing leaks) and I'm trying to find that sweet spot between mouth to lung and full inhale. The Apex comes with .5 coils, but you can now get 2.0 coils too. I have mine here but haven't tried them yet. But they're rated 12-16W I think. But even with the .5 I'm finding that the airflow closed most of the way at 20W is pretty nice. Though I do with they'd come out with a 1.0-1.2 coil for it.

And ya...good flavor is the bummer. I'm the same way with the flavor from the Triton with 1.8...love the flavor but that is literally all I love about it. Gurgle, spit and leak with anything other than high VG...and even then still leaks.

And getting back on track for the original poster (and yourself)- I just got the Sense Hydra tank last week and it's a pretty nice mouth to lung. A bit warmer than I'm used to, but nice. And the 1.8 coils are rated from 15-50 watts. Pretty sick, though the juice capacity is lacking. But easy top fill so worth looking into.

I was looking at that Tank, they got the Herakles that's a bigger capacity then the Hydra and it can use that 1.8ohm to. Entered few raffles and almost won it...I'll get it with a Disrupter was one combo

It's confusing, but I'm almost sure that the Hydra 1.8's will not fit in the Herakles; they're smaller in size, close to a Nautlius BVC. What makes it more confusing is that the Hydra is technically called the "Herakles Hydra." It made my head spin too. So ya, apparently this tank is sort of it's own thing. Too bad; I really wish they would've made a 1.8 for their other tanks like the Cyclone too.

Oh you using the VOCC one? I really like the SOCC coils in my PT2'S and easy to rewick them to get longer use
Really? I'll have to look into that. I forgot I was on a mouth to lung thread lol but I'll look into possibly getting one. I love my stm tho
