Hello all first let me say thanks in advance for the replies and for this awesome site.

I've only been vaping for about a week now but I love it i haven’t had a analog in about a week, its amazing. What I would like from this thread is some advice on new setup. My current set up is as follows; a vision spinner (1300 mAh) and a Kanger tech protank 2 (1.5 OmH) to me being a novice this is a good set up i only have a few problems that I would like to correct.

1. I am getting dry hits from my tank

2. my battery will shut off after a long drag. I know this is a safety feature but I would like the drag time to be just a little longer.

3. I'm not getting much vapor from my tank as I did when i bought it.

I hope these are quick fixes and don’t require me to spend much more money (except the battery), for the record I am using a 60 PG/ 40 VG mix. I was told a 50/50 would be fine and give me more vapor but I kind of want a second opinion.

I would also like any advice anyone can give me about voltage settings as well as product recommendations for future kits.
thanks all and happy vapeing!

#1 and #3 Could likely be addressed in one step.

#2 Is a safety limitation built into the battery, so not much you can do about that, but if vapor production can be improved you should be able to get by with shorter drags.

On to 1 and 2, after time your coils will see decreased performance due to build-up of residue on the coils, this is natural and happens with nearly all types of coil setups. Darker/heavy flavored juices will cause this the quickest, some juices can badly gunk a coil in just a single tank.

You need to open the PT head and dry burn it occasionally to remove the gunk from the coil/silica main wick, this will increase performance/longevity of the heads.

When you open the head to dry-burn it, you'll have to remove the flavor wicks. These flavor wicks are likely the cause of the dry-hits as they have a great deal of effect on wicking. When you are done dry burning the coil, try reinstalling only 1 of the likely 2 tiny flavor wicks. This should help avoid dry hits.

Thanks for the reply and link, I will dry burn them tonight and report my results back.
Does anyone know if i can use that safety feature as a measurement for the cutoff point?
IE can i inhale until that point on each drag without damaging my equipment?
Also will my tank run ok with just one wick? i have heard that removing a wick will cause leaking.

It's entirely possible, but given youre getting dry hits, we're left to assume they're not wicking well.

If, after removing 1 of the flavor wicks, you get consistent leaking/gurgling, report back and we can play with some other options.

Well I just did my dry burn and removed one wick, I have been vapeing the pro tank for about 30 minutes non stop since, and no gurgle.
In fact it is working wonderfully great taste and lots of vapor. Thank you so much you just saved me so much money my wife and I bought a few replacement heads (or what ever I just dry burned) and I thought I would have to use a replacement but thanks to this thread I can jusy clean em!
For future reference what do I do if my tank gurgles? and thanks again guys and gals.
