Fortunately there are alot of choices out there. That's why I bought them because of all the good feedback. For a single coil tank, I like my EXO RTA.
I’ve had execrable luck with tanks. They’re a pain to wick just right and you don’t know you’ve screwed up till it starts leaking. Then if you get experienced enough to get it right every time you break the damn glass and can’t get more that actually really fits right. :/ I’m a pure RDA guy these days. They’re made out of steel. Probably part of what I like about the pharaoh. No wicking problems no breaking problems.

I've been using my RDAs more. I have a couple tanks I like taking with me. An RDTA is an excellent compromise between the 2. At this point I'm waiting for someone to come out with a dual 18650 regulated bf mod. I loved my drone but it didn't last long and it was expensive.

Concerning the Pharaoh RTA, I think it is really airy. Without a coil that is. But if you want to get a decent amount of flavour, you have to position the coil so low over the bottom airflow hole, that it restricts the airflow so much, that you think you've closed it down to a third on the afc.
And the topairflow is absolutely useless, as it is just indirect and kills the flavour massively.

That may explain a lot actually. I’ve never had more than a single 3.5mm 4 wrap coil in it and have so far been unable to open my top airflow at all. The coil covers the center hole and just a smidge on each side

I really wanted to like the Pharaoh RTA, mainly because I absolutely love the looks, but after a lot of builds with differing wires and IDs I think the singlecoil deck on this is just badly designed concerning airflow. On top of that, it's a real ..... to wick, as there is a very thin line between flooding and dry hits. At least if you want to chuck some clouds with decent flavour.
Perhaps I'll try out the optional dual coil velocity deck sometime, but to be honest, I don't know if that will improve the tank and there are so many other options that interest me a lot more at the moment.

As to wicking Not that I’ve noticed. You do want really really long wicks. Long enough that you have to tuck them into the tank well and have them fold over. I’ve tried wicks as long as an inch on each side and had em work. Sweet spot seems to be 1/2~3/4in tail on each side.

I've got all the available decks and it really doesn't matter. I still don't like that tank no matter what you do to it.

I guess I like it because it holds a couple mill of juice and vapes as well as any tank I’ve used so far. This may merely mean that my standards are low though. I’ve never really gotten the gigantic plumes I see on videos out of anything.

Your standards are fine it's just different styles of vaping. I'm one of those people that doesn't see the point in airflow control because mine are always wide open.

@ bomb
The wickports are massive, granted, but if I stuff them with cotton the way you describe it, I can't get past the 60 watts and even with lower watts it's merely a semi-saturated vape, if I take a long drag. It makes me think that it's more of a pressure problem, because the tank creates a vacuum so the juice can't be sucked up by the wick.
Ok, I use high VG juices only, but even the Exo RTA performs much better than the Pharaoh, despite it having much smaller juiceports.

@Don
Yeah. I thought so concerning the different decks.

Lost Vape Drone. Dual 18650 squonker. Not cheap, but the TC is great.

Does anyone have an OBS Crius RDTA? I'm a big OBS fan and was interested about that one. I'll probably get one anyway to try it out.
I have a couple and they are decent enough. Nice roomy goon style build deck, tall top cap. Not quite as nice and flavorful as my Ijoy Combos RDTAs. The Battlestar is another one I like. velocity Style build deck and large wick holes.

The last couple of days I've received some vapemail. I got a Dead Rabbit RDA,an Apocalypse RDA, an Azeroth RDTA, a Crius RDTA, a Mad Dog RDTA and a Basilisk mod. I built the Azeroth first. The goon style deck is simple to build. The af adjustment is kind of strange and it has a proprietary drip tip. All in all it's a good RDTA. Next was the Crius. This has got to be the easiest deck I've built on so far. 810 drip tips. I put it on the Basilisk and this thing hits like a hammer and the flavor is spot on. I'm sorry I waited so long to get one. Gotta love OBS! Last but not least is the Mad Dog. It also use 810 drip tips. This thing is a pain in the donkey to build on but it's worth it. The way the airflow works is almost like a bottom airflow. I got it in gold and it is beautiful on the Revenant. It hits amazingly and the flavor is also spot on.

I'm going to be picking some more RDTAs. It's going to be hard to beat the OBS Crius RDTA. In my opinion this thing is AWESOME!
