The Pyro is a great RDTA. I only used mine for about a month, only reason I put it on the shelf was I had other toys to play with. I plan on getting back to it soon, but I'm starting to be a squonkaholic.

I've only built it in dual mode, but there are folks here that have only used it in single coil mode that like it as well. I actually prefer single coilers, so I will be giving a 3.5mm single coil a try next time I fire it up.

No problems at all with mine. I picked them up in a few different finishes after finding how much I enjoyed the first one.

Do it. You know you want to.

I would replace the orings on tbe leaky rdta.... an then dial in you coil building....
A new RDTA won't fix the spitting issue. As that is a coil problem.. if you can't fix the leaks then yeah replace... I've never heard of your 3 choices so can't recommend...

Though I would suggest any RDTA with velocity style deck. 2 posts with holes in them.

From what I have been told, the Pyro is great as a single coil RDTA. I can go either way with coils, single or dual. My favorite tanks now are RTAs, the Manta and the Asmodus Zesthia. I see a Pyro in my future and didn't hesitate to recommend it based on my friend's experience. She and I have very similar taste in gear, so I know I will enjoy the Pyro if she does. :)

Thanks for the help.. Pyro is on its way :)
I hope you enjoy yours. It probably is my favorite RDTA. I think the fill method is great on it, just make sure you either allow your coils to cool or are careful filling it when hot to not touch your bottle/tip on the coil and melt it to the coil. Not a problem if you're aware of it, or most likely using single coil option. With larger double coils, just be careful filling while the coils are hot.

I also like the Peerless, only problem with it I've had is the little gasket in the fill port can pop out when filling/removing your bottle if not careful.

No problems with the Pyro though. I pocket carried mine all of the time, and no leaks. I haven't left it on it's side for a long time to test it, but never had any leaking with it under normal use.

Oh yeah, as far as the spitting make sure your wicking is snug enough in the coil. Also, seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes upping the wattage can help with this. Burns the liquid off before it has time to 'pop' on you. Some coil/wire types seem more prone to this as well. Usually wicking a little tighter has resolved this for me.
