recommend me an Igo-L build

My Igo-L is sitting on my desk staring at me, just begging for a coil. Can someone recommend a first build? I think I'm going to try normal kanthal and silica folded over once. No I'm not going for a sub-ohm (maybe 1.2-1.5 ohm for my first time), and yes I can use a multimeter lol. Mainly I'm just looking to buy one type of kanthal wire and one type of silica to start out.

I did a search on this and found a few threads, but not really the info I'm looking for. Can anyone recommend a good build to start with? Also, should I torch the kanthal before wrapping? (Most of the youtube videos I see don't mention that)

Try some 30ga kanthal with about 7-8 wraps with a 2mm ID (internal diameter). Should get you in the range your looking for.

Would you suggest trying out a micro coil on the igo-l for a first timer? and if so what gauge of kanthal should i order. I was thinking about going the cotton route since it seems easier to wrap a coil around a bit then stick the cotton in. And is ebay a goto spot for kanthal?
