510 get hotter in my experience. I have both types of atty btw - got an adapter so I can use my 901 with 510 batts and PT (btw - I also have a 5v 510 PT - from madvpes - which i got to experience the higher volt vaping without breaking the bank).
The 510 atty is also shorter, the bridge is fatter and easier to drip on lol.

I have a 5V GLV. It's the only 5V that I've tried, but it's my favorite mod. The standard 510 attys work great with it. Much better throat hit than 3.7 and no harshness that you get with 6V. Here's the subforum for more info:

GreatLakesVapor - E-Cigarette Forum

I just tried a 901 atty a couple days ago and it's definitely not for me. I got hardly any throat hit at all, which is very important to me. The flavor is better, but I need a good combination of things.

I am interested in experiencing a 5v PV that looks nice but performs great as well. I am still new to the e-cig world and would appreicate the help.

I hear great things about the 510 atty so a device with a 510 atty would be sweet. What is the difference between the 901 and 510?

Thanks for reading!

I agree, the GLV is a really nice unit and has been one of my favorites.

You probably don't want a box mod because you said nice looking so that rules that out.

The vape stack is out of stock right now but I have only read a little about it.

The cheapest way would be to purchase a low resistance atty which is supposed to simulate a 5v vaping experience using 3.7v as long as the battery that is in the device you are using is like 450 Mah.

Theres the Vapestack at Madvapes.Ive heard good things.

The VapeStack is only 3.7 volts right now, it will likely have a 6 volt cup available soon, and hopefully a 5 volt arrangement sometime in the future.

I've been vaping 5 volts for a long time - I primarily used Cartomizers at 5 volts on a Prodigy V1 and on a V4L pass thru. I bought the VapeStack because it is so nice in design (button on top, light aluminum body) and it is the smallest mod I've seen. Shorter and wider than the GG Slim for example. I use a 510 on it sometimes, but mostly I use the new Premium cartomizers and I get plenty of vapor with those at 3.7 volts. I even ended up selling my Prodigy because of it. 3.7 is great with the new premium cartos. 3.7 would be too little with regular cartos or with 901 atties.

The cheapest way to experience 5 volts is a $15 pass thru. Then you can see if you think it is worth a large mod for 5 volts or if you'd rather have a small mod and use Premium cartos or Low Resistance atties to simulate 5 volts.

I generally find 6 volts plus to be too hot and kill atties too fast - so I would definitely be deciding between 5 volts and/or Premium/LR atties. Atties designed for high voltage are more expensive and too often out of stock - higher than 5 volts is not worth the trouble.
