I am currently using a few ego pass thru with either clearomizers or tanks. I would like more vapor and something a little more durable. These are little too long to be carried discretely and I frequently break them.

My wish list is:

Durable enough to carry in my pocket, briefcase, luggage, etc (metal would be great)
All one piece such as the Zen or ihybrid
Shorter than an ego with a clearo when all the pieces are added together (wider is fine)
2-5 ml of juice and enough battery to vape all of it
Fillable without a needle (so I can open the tank and drip fill on the go)

I am always happy to hear about new developments and products on the way, but I want something I can actually buy now. (The Precise Strata looks perfect but they are not available yet.) A mod and tank recommendation is also fine, but it has to be durable. (A protective tank cover might work.)

I assume the $300-$500 range will cover it, but am flexible on price for the right setup.

ALL in one piece? Why does it have to be all one piece? That limits you to a small fraction of the mod market and it limits you to very expensive craft-made mods known as "Genesis Mods" which are for the most experienced of vapers. Whats your budget? Whats your idea of "all in one?" and what do you want to use for an atomizer? Do you like cartos? Carto tanks? Clearomizers? Clearomizer tanks? Rebuildable ability? Stainless Steel wick or Fiberglass wick? Looks? Materials? Glass tank or plastic?

You don't necessarily need an all-in-one device right out the gate coming from eGo bats. You can assemble a pretty perfect mod set-up and it'll LOOK like its meant to be. But I can't really recommend much until I know your budget and until you answer the questions above. I have a feeling your going to settle into the 18350 mods because you say you'd like something short, but you don't mind width.

I believe his budget is $300-500 as it says in his post so fire away pretty much any mod because all the good ones are in that price range

I wouldn't go for a hybrid or genesis if it's going to be in your pocket, etc. and being carried around a lot. Gene's can leak when on their sides, upside down, etc. Also they tend to be very tall, my Provari w/ extension cap, Cobra RBA and knuckle drip tip is 8.25 inches long, which is way longer than your ego/clearo. You should get verified, and find a GG Penelope or possibly a GG Odysseus off the classifieds, and then buy a nice PV to use it on. The Penelope is a much better option for taking out and about as it won't leak and isn't as finicky as a genesis. It will be a lot easier for you to learn to wrap a coil on than a genesis.

Since you seem to dig the Super T stuff you could buy a P+, maybe like an 18500 since it's pretty compact, or if you don't need a huge battery life, even the P+16340 is super tiny. But P+'s are pretty compact, even my P+ 18650 is only just over 4 inches long and pretty slim.

Personally though for your first APV, I would probably suggest the gold standard, the Provari. It's extremely well crafted, beautiful, not that long with the regular cap(almost the exact size as the P+18650), but it's VV so you can dial it in to what you want, you can check the resistance of your atomizer/clearo/etc. and you can check the battery level. You could also go with the cheaper Zmax but if you want the proven reliability and something you can send in to be fixed if something should happen (they're built like tanks so it's unlikely anyways) you should go with the Provari.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I'm probably looking for an 18350 mod. I travel a lot and typically keep the PV in my pocket. With the egos, I have a lot of problems with the tanks breaking and/or leaking (because they get bent around as I move). I really need something that will fix that problem and I'd rather not have to carry around additional tanks/clearomizers.

I'm disappointed to hear the hybrid or genesis mods leak. I thought they would be better and much longer lasting.

The provari mini is on my list, but I'm unsure screwing a tank to the top will be durable enough.

Super T's stuff is nice. They seem to be mostly marketed for dripping and prefer a tank.

The REO Mini looks goods. I do a lot of quick stealth vaping, especially at work. Unvaped juice in the drip will seems like it would be a problem.

I really like something with more vaping power than the egos that I can pop fresh battery into, PV and go without a lot of worry.

Feel free to suggest a PV tank system that might work me. I lean toward a one piece solution, because I haven't had much luck putting something together.

That's the issue, there really isn't a 1 piece solution thats not a hybrid, meaning a genesis + mod in one. Like I said, I really think you should try to get a Penelope or Odysseus off the classifieds, they're on there all the time, and a Provari mini since you want a smaller option. Genesis' just aren't the best option for somebody that wants a go anywhere, throw it in your pocket and forget about it setup. For home use though, they can't be beaten, IMO. Or you could just go Provari and a Vivi Nova, which will cost you like 12 bucks and work great as well, just don't get a knockoff, get the legit Vision Vivi Nova. Gotvapes.com sells the legit ones I know for sure.

Vivi novas are easy to refill, just unscrew the cap, drip a few mL in and you're off to the races. I would definitely avoid a cartomizer tank if I were you because they can be a huge pain in the ... to refill sometimes. Not great for on the go, refilling wise. Not only are Vivi Novas super easy to use, you can replace the heads on them for just a couple bucks. They're very popular these days, and you can even rebuild the heads yourself with your own wire and cotton, silica or whatever kind of wick you'd like to use.

Edit: With the Provari Mini, you can also get the extension cap, which will let you use 18350s, OR 18940's which still isn't that large and will get better battery life for home use.

It really does sound like what your looking for is a Reo haha. You can get them custom made with the rebuildable aotmizer recessed into the device so theres no chance it will snap off at the connection point. I wasn't going to lead you in that direction because I figured you'd be looking for a tube mod but, the REO seems to fit your bill buddy. reosmods.com check them out. See if you can find more information on getting one where the atomizer is recessed into the body by searching google? IDK. I've seen them where the rebuildable is recessed but I'm not sure how easy they are to get. :/ Otherwise, I think a provari mini would be great for you as well. Especially because your new and you haven't gotten a VV device yet. I mean, the Zmax, the Provari, anything made of a tough stainless or even aluminum would be fine. Stay away from plastic if you want it to last a while.

your about right. the typical 18350 battery provides 700 to 900 Milli Amperage Hours (mAh) where-as the eGo 650 obviously gives about 650mAh give or take depending on the brand of eGo. So one 18350 battery will/should definitely last a bit longer, at the 700mAh range of the AW 18350 batteries, it would give 15-20 more minutes of firing the button I'd guess. Google Milli Amperage Hours to find out more about what the mAh ratings truly mean.

I'm just guessing the 18350 won't last as long as a standard 650 mah ego batt. They have similar capacities, but in my experience vv devices go through the batts. Granted not everyone vapes like i do (low res at 4.2-4.6v, 2.5 ohm around 5v). I lean toward higher current draws most of the time. A 3.4v ego kust doesn't allow me to do that unless i wanted to wrap a 1 ohm coil and throw it on there. I don't own a 3 provari though, they may have a very motivated efficient voltage regulator.
