Thanks for the recommendation! Any leakage issues with the odysseus?

"Imeo" type atties are more pocket friendly than Genesis types. They tend to leak less if u carry them around, jiggling in your pocket. U tend to need to keep Genesis types fairly upright for them not to leak through the meshes or even fill holes for some.

heh heh.. interesting..

after reading all these, as a relative newbie, i would just like to say a big THANK YOU to my brudder to got me into vaping! YOU know who u r man!! and all the fantastic pple i got to know who were so willing to share their knowledge wif me! Y'ALL know who y'all are!! yink yink yink.. ;)

having said all this, TS, i feel it is our own responsibility as newbies to do our own research b4 asking others.. the internet is choked full of information. u just need to sieve out what's useful n relevant to u. (GOOGLE man!!) if not, there's nobody else to blame if u kena carrot chopped by someone who's just waiting in line to separate u from yr hard-earned cash. i'm one of them too! dun believe come ask me for advice..

esp. in singapore where many pple justify exorbitant mark-ups by saying, 'i took all e risks bringing it in, YOU try bringing in yrself den.. etc.' now seniors, i'm not pointing any fingers.. i'm guilty of it too! ;P

but how much money is dat 'risk' worth and how much y're willing to pay is very personal.. $500 for a provari mini? (provape sells it for $210 n it's pertually available!).. some consider $350usd for a 2nd hand orion cheap, others do not. (new one is 150euros).. n many other factors come into play when prices r concerned and as y've found out, the z-atty is nvr available from it's original maker.. so? wait for availability or buy higher from classifieds? it's ultimately yr call.

now to answer yr question directly.. having had the good fortune of owning BOTH imeo n genesis styled attys (hahaha, yes i'm boasting now! :p - courtesy of all e wonderful brothers in the sg community who poisoned me!!) i think i'm qualified to tell u: BOTH ARE GOOD LAH! both got its fantastic share of followers!! ask any vaper who's been vaping long enuf.. yr favourite is genesis, but do u also keep a gg full set? why? n vice versa for ody die-hard fans..

so try both! n try alot of mods! alot of attys! spend more money! try different juices! they matter too!! den y'll know what's best for u and u only.

i think dat didn't help much.. =PPP

Its hard to reccomend which is the best for you TS (thread starter). Each rebuildable has its own ups and downs. Not so much of a down but more of the characteristic they each hold. Ill try to state some examples for you for those ive used and owned or once owned.
I will split them into 2 main category. Wick and mesh.

Wick.
Ato-miser - cheap and good but ugly
Mark-T - expensive but very sleek and works great for dripping due to internal design.
Penelope - my current main outdoor vape due to its sleek profile. Easy on the pocket and matches one of my mods. Not easy to setup but not a big hoohaa either. But u need 2 types of wire and prolly a multimeter unless u r experienced.
Odysseus - just bigger than penelope in terms of width profile. See penelope for the rest of the comments.

Mesh.
Genesis line v1 - easy to setup but weird profile on most mods and bottom connector not flushed. Generally hits harder and when u set it up right, it last very long. Mesh takes awhile to setup as u need to oxidize it so u will need blowtorch or a stove to make it thus disabling it to be rebuildable if u r on the go. (sames goes for all gen type mod unless u prepare some spares for on the go.)
Genesis mini - see gen line. Same.thing just different body profile.
Katana - hybrid mod as in atty and body is made for each other. I.e. Its a mod itself rather than a atty. Cons pita to setup. Pro. Once set up correct, hits like a freight train and gives very clean vape. Closest to ce2 if u know what ce2s are (slightly.older vapers knows the feeling) somehow gen line and gen mini dun hit as well as katana. No idea why. Maybe conductivity of the inner material or something.
Z-atty-pro - by far the best looking since its made for provari. See katana for pros and cons cuz one thing good is that u r using it on a vv mod (provari) difficult not to get the voltage etc right. Katana however is 3.7v mod unless u stack but stacking is not reccomended for any1.

Conclusion. I love both my gen types and my wicks types. I frequently swap between them for times i need harder hit and times i need smoother vape. However i use my mods differently cuz certain juice r good for certain types of mods and i use according to that from my own experienced. YMMV of cuz as each persons taste is different.
E.g. I find fruity ones taste better on wick and tobacco flavors ones taste better on mesh. Dun flame me if its not the same for you.
Ultimately, exploring is your best bet. Even cheap ones can be good. Dun need to jump onto any bandwagon. We r talking abt which is the best PERFORMANCE not best RESALE VALUE. unless u r going for the latter. Good luck and have fun with rebuildables.
(p.s. Ce2 can be modded into a rebuildable and it works uber)

No idea?!
Also, u do not need to own a rebuildable atty tank to quit analogues. You need will-power.

Others can quit using eGos, LTs and just dc carto tanks. It's not what you own, but what owns you, ultimately.

Very well said indeed. Well it's a determined decision for me to invest on a good set for my long journey of kicking the habit. My Egos are doing well for me but yeah I just want to experience the other options available to me.

TS - you opened a can of worms :)

Even for myself coming back to vaping and finding supplies, i still feel im not at the stage of rebuilding or understanding the Ody & etc.
Like what others have shared, i will probably work towards rebuilding the Vivi head and decide how i want to move on from there. Even in classi, rebuildables which are highly recommended by Bros here do not come cheap.
ody price being higher than a provari (example)

Till the day someone comes along with an ody, who's been using for sometime and lets me feel the difference... i'll just play safe now.

Well I do have itchy fingers and like to dismantle and reassemble things hence the interest. I'll be fine :)

Thanks for your reply man :)

Believe me google and YouTube are my best friends in my persuit of Ecig uberness. Purpose of this post is to have a feel and listen to local vapers opinions. Pardon me if I caused a little storm for that I sincerely apologize.

As for the mark ups I already experienced my fair share hahaha. Thankfully I have good friends across the causeway that can help me out with their mailing address.

At least with Vivi Nova, if you can't coil even if your life depends on it, you could buy a replacement coil head! With other rebuildables, it's a few visits to youtube here and the next few hours of browsing on ECF there & some more time fiddling with e piece tt you've got..

Make sure you have sufficient wicks, mesh, wires too :) 1meter wick 10 meter wire... kidding.

If purely looking for an atty, plenty to choose from.
Go straight to the top. Ody, Penelope, hellfires, just to name a few...
To me, I find it a waste of time and money to go bottom up or mid range. If u wanna go rebuildable, probably means u already tried disposals and had your fair share of egos and stardusts and cartos.
All rebuildables have a learning curve. Similar to walking, ....ting and ....... Learn and get the hang of it. Once you're there, you're there. Simple.
So shoot to the top and have fun. Knowing that if you fail in rebuilding, you should punish yourself by smoking analogs. lol... Kidding.

Hi, just to add. Got the steam machine vst version. It goes nice with an ego-twist. One slick unit if paired with the s/s color ego battery. In hierarchy level of flavour n HT:

1. Penelope
2. Steam Machine VST
3. Bulli A2 Classic

So happy, but sad at the same time. This hobby is getting expensive. O well I'm so loving this journey.

The satisfaction you get when you rebuild your own is priceless. Somewhat like when you feel after you get your license..

Thank You All whom directly or indirectly shown me this path.

After using my standard kits years ago going on and off analogues I kinda really want to quit analogues once and for all this time and ordered myself a Provari v2.

Was hoping to get some recommendation for rebuildable atty tanks from you guys.
Stumbled upon Z-Atty but it seems like their stuff are perpetually sold out.
Care to share what are some other options that I should look for and if anyone carries them please feel free to pm me or something.

Cheers and happy vaping!
The Z-atty-Pro would fit your Provari perfectly without any gaps, and it's a great beginners atty to boot. It comes set up, ready to use. The top cap snaps on, it's not pocket friendly, but it's great for average use. They will be in stock by various Vendors soon, anywhere from August to New Years day. He is geared up to produce 500 attys a month, which means there *should* be enough to go around eventually. Go to the HOH site and put in a "notify me" subscription and when they are ready, you might be notified.

Z-atty-U is flat for all flat top 510's.
Z-atty-Pro is slanted for all slanted top 510's.

Another good beginners atty, is the NGP genesis style. It, too, comes pre-set up and ready to fire up outtabox. It's cheaply made, and it's an entire mod with atty, a Hybrid, but it should last you a good year and be a good backup if you decide RBA's are the route for you.

Another great RBA is the DID. It's easy to set up and is affordably priced. The top cap screws on, which makes it more pocket friendly. I have both the Zenesis and the DID and I am a newbie to RBA's (rebuildable attys). yet I have zero problems setting up either one, because they are user friendly and because there are tons of helpful posters and tutorials everywhere you turn. The Zen is perhaps the easiest ever to set up, but you still need to have the patience of a nun in order to work out any hot spots and shorts, just like ANY RBA atty. The DID is usually in stock and easy to get. The DID fits on any 510, and there are connectors you can get to make it look flush, if you want "flush".

I understand the LINE is really easy to set up too.

There's a lot of them out there. Good luck and happy vaping!

1m is nvr enough if u're just starting out. Heck! Maybe 5m is a good starting point.

You'll need heaps of wicks, mesh & wires.

I have my zombie apocalypse supply already.

Hello everyone! Been a while but here's my 2 cents.
I've just went in to rebuildables too. Was choosing between a Ody and those genesis type and went with the ody, cos I always store my PV on its side.

1st time doing a coil and it was hard. Trust me. Especially when you're 6"1' with humongous hands.

But... I'm on my 4th coil now, with 2 coiled for me by others. Have another couple coils on standby that I made during practise sessions.

All I can say is that with all rebuildables, it really does get much easier with time.

Cheers!
