For the best flavor production, I prefer pyrex cartotanks. There's a slight learning curve involved, but nothing too complicated that a beginner can't learn. The pyrex tubes are safe to use for all flavors, including the cinnamon and citrus flavors that can crack the clear plastic used in clearomizers and vivi nova tanks.

IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

You can get a high quality pyrex cartotank kit from the above vendor for $25.

Vivi Nova tanks don't leak, unless you use a strong citrus or cinnamon flavor. They work great. If you want something slightly more complicated, but a decent introduction to rebuildable wick setups, the Vivi R tanks are good as well.

The best looking (and working) setup for the money on a Vamo is an AGA T Plus. Keep that in the back of your mind, you may want to look one of those up in a couple of months, but for now stick with a carto tank or a Vivi Nova. (in my opinion the 3.5 ml size Vivi Nova fits the width of the Vamo best, but you may want to go with a 2.5 ml tank to start). Batitude's recommendation of the IBTanked carto tank is a good one, and it's one of the best quality setups you will find for the price.

I would not recommend the Genisis DID that Mr. "I got kicked out of this forum in record time" recommended...not for a Vamo (or a new user) at any rate. *From the now deleted post above, in case you read it.*

Thank you for the help guys...looking to grab the IBTanked Carto and 3.5ml vivi nova.

Few questions:

1. I live in CA. Where is cheapest and fastest shipping place to get Vamo? Was looking at smoktek.

2. Where should I get the 3.5ml vivi novas? and what are the differences in ohms?

3. Are these batteries and charger good?

I got my batteries and charger from RTD Vapor.

2 of these
AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh

and this
Battery Chargers : Xtar WP2 II

4. Any recommendations on e-liquids?

1. Not a clue. But I ordered mine from Health Cabin, shipped DHL and arrived in Oregon at my house in 3 days.

2. Not a clue. Ditto to the above. Ohms don't matter so much with a Variable Voltage mod like the Vamo. I think the standard replacement ohm atomizer heads come in 1.8, 2.0 and 2.4 ohms. Just get a variety of them, as I said, they will all work, and will give you an idea of what ohms you prefer. (pretty much the same can be said for the cartos for the cartotank setup that baditude recommended).

3. Yes. Edit: if you want to run the Vamo in "shorty/stealth mode" you will also need to get AW IMR 18350 batteries. RTD Vapor is the vendor for batteries. Best prices, best quality, best shipping. Won an award for it (in the "best battery vendor category") last year and maybe the year before that, too.

4. I can recommend them, but it doesn't mean that you will like them.
I vape Mad Murdock's Radiator Pluid and Mad Murdock's 710. I also vape Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice from Alien Visions, and I vape WTA e-liquids from Aroma EJuice. I also like North West Vapor's Blueberry Cheesecake, (but no one else's). I vaped about 50-75 juices to narrow it down to those. I consider myself a picky vaper. Everyone's tastes are different. You might end up not liking any of those. Just because one vendor sells a "chocolate" juice and you like it, does not mean that you will like all chocolate juices from all vendors. Do a search for the "big RY4 roundup" thread, and you will see what I mean.

The following vendors have outspoken fans, I have not tried their juices, but there are lots of reviews out there.
Heather's Heavenly Vapes
Alice in Vapeland
and Mt. Baker Vapor.

Hi, sorry to hijack the thread, but having just ordered my vamo as well, I was going to purchase some 18650 (AW or efest) and the above charger (the xtar wp2 II) and probably a silly question, but can I use that charger to charge one battery at a time? Or do i need to wait and charge two? Like I said, probably a silly question, but I feel my head about to explode after reading about batteries all night!

Thanks :)

You can charge two 18650 batteries at the same time.

Note: If you also purchase any 18350 batteries (the short ones for running a Vamo in shorty mode) you will need to buy 2 extra spacers to charge two 18350 batteries at the same time (2 spacers per battery) The charger only comes with 2 spacers.

Ah, thanks for the info! My main concern was wanting to charge the one battery whilst using the other :) Good to know about the 18350's tho, spacers are available for about 50p on the site so I will grab a couple extra :D
