Hi guys. Just wanted to ask if the tank you advised me getting was the Aspire Atlantis 2 or perhaps another Atlantis. I would for the time being want to slap a pre-made nickel in the tank for quick and conveinient use . I see there are several choices on nickels that fit the Atlantis tank. I have the new DNA 40 just released (which I do like). And 6 Kanger subtanks in which their Ni coil I don't. I see we went over this before but I am not sure if I have the coil/tank combo correct. I plan on doing an rta soon when I have the time and space/tools. And then an rda when I have the money next month. Any help as to this choice for next purchase is much apreciative.
Thanks

The only Atlantis nickel coils I have used are the ones sold by Vaporshark (I think others sell them too, but they are still in Vaporshark packaging). The coils will easily last me anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I've tried soaking them in vodka and then reusing them, but the second time around they only last a few days before it starts to taste a bit nasty. These coils are rock solid and they don't have the resistance dropping issue that the Subtank nickel OCC's have.

Thanks jseah.. Yes I did see those and some other made by eleaf, and a few other companies. I think I will order 2 tanks(Atlantis 2) and a Pack of 5 ni coils(. 15) for now. The vt 40 does work very well for giving stable voltage at firing. Also built like a tank. Fire button is not an issue at all, as far as the location. Like it very much but wish it was 60watts of power instead of 40.Thats Okay as I very much needed a device that would do the job better than what I had.

I have 4 TC mods, a Snow Wolf 200, evic-VT, rDNA40, and the SX Mini. With the firmware upgrade on the SX Mini, both the SX Mini and the Snow Wolf 200 goes up to 75 watts/joules in TC mode. The evic-VT goes to 60 watts and the rDNA40 40 watts. You really don't need more than 40 watts in TC anyways. On my nickel coils, I vape it at 450 degrees and even at 40 watts, it only stays at 40 watts for less than a second and then gets limited to well below that. If I lower the wattage to 30 watts, then it stays at 30 watts for maybe a second and a half before it starts getting limited.

I also have the Vaporshark coils for the Atlantis 2 and I think they work great. All I really have to compare them to is the Smok TCT as far as tanks with nickel coils. I think they have an extremely similar vape, and I just end up using the TCT because of the 5ml juice capacity and maybe a bit more flavor. Then again, I would consider myself a newb and not exactly good at setting things up to be optimal for my tastes.

If you haven't bought the Atlantis 2 yet, Aspire is coming out with a new tank, as is Smok. I can't comment on either, other than saying it seemed like yesterday I bought the Altantis 2 and now a new tank is out. Regardless, I am happy with the Atlantis and the nickel coils.

Thanks again,
Jseah, Jeremy, Shigura and others for realizing. I do appreciate your input as I am only 5 months into vaping. Still have more to learn with this industry. I have decided to purchase the Atlantis 2nd edition with their( . 5 ) coils. Will try with one for now and talk to my buddy in east bay(Oakland/SF) area. He may have a fix on airflow or rewicking of the kanger Ni coils. Being a machinist for 25yrs. Maybe a Simple fix with machining to open things up and cool the coil faster. Don't know but may be worth the try. Or I may just go with Aspire for now. However already purchased 6 Kanger subs and would like to use them. Thanks again

The Subtank is a good tank. You didn't waste money by buying them. You also do have the option of using the RBA and building your own coil. And the new vertical OCC's are awesome coils. Granted they are not nickel coils and you won't get temp control with them, but they work great with kanthal.

Joyetech make a nickel coil for its Delta II sub ohm tank, for use with temperature control devices.
Although I would recommend using the Delta II with their evic VT mod.
Joye Delta II LVC-Ni Nickel Atomizer Head - 0.3ohm
The Delta II also has replaceable sub ohm coils, and titanium coils.

Thanks disley.. I will be sure to check out the Joytech Delta ll and their ni coils. It appears that jseah(in this post) also has a evic-vt mod.
It seems to me I had heard something about the tank(Delta ll) before. But thought it was related to rta build being very good. I may be wrong though.
Thanks again
