I'm on a budget and there's a couple things that I'm missing in my stockpile / collection. First I would love to get a recommendation for an RTA that will go well with my ProVari 2.5. Something a bit tall rather than chunky as I don't have a beauty ring so the things I have looked kind of silly. Single coil buildable would be great though I don't mind if it has the option to have two. I like something where I can make it a restricted lung hit or a little bit tighter but not super tight draw.

I'm also looking for an rta/rdta that will handle both a single and a dual coil build and is relatively inexpensive preferably something on like fasttech with a glass rather than PC or ultem tank all the better if it's a stainless steel tank though I don't see many of those around with rta's.

And 3rd I'm looking for a bottom feeding RDA that will look good on a black with frosted door Armageddon squonk. Something that'll take both dual or single coil would be amazing

I would love it if I could find all of these things on fasttech and they don't have to be super good quality in fact I need them to be fairly inexpensive. But I do want them to be decently machined.

I do not own a single rdta and it would be kind of cool to have one of those but that's not my main objective but if you know of one that's nice usable and cheap that would be cool

I already have the Project X, the doggystyle, wasp Nano and a beserker.MTL

Thanks in advance! Sale prices or really good deals would be awesome!

@AvaOrchid there are a few people here that have the FT Ulton Styled Tripod and really like it. There are some good discussions and reviews on the FT page. It's a single coil 22mm RTA. Easy to build on and you can do a restricted lung hit or an airy MTL (or DL to tight MTL, options). It comes with a 2ml glass tank section and there is also a 3.4ml glass tank option. I have a couple authentic Tripod's and love them. I don't know how that would go with your ProVari 2.5.

I've been using the FT SXK NarEA RDA and the FT KRMA RDA on my Armageddon with a black with frosted door. Of those two I think the NarEA would perfectly match your vape style.

Hope that helps. Good luck! ;)

Nova by Gas Mods. Not a dual coil but a good atty. I prefer reduced chamber singles to a dual rda with a single coil I also like single coil on single 18650 mods. This little thing hits hard and fires fast at .23. Looks pretty good on the Armageddon too.

For a tall and not chunky RTA with great flavour and just great everything!! May I recommend the Brunhilde MTL RTA:wub: She comes in at 59.5mm from bottom to top of drip tip and holds 5mls.

Extremely good quality RTA for a very good price;)
    Good luck on the search:D

I would love to hear your opinion on the Project X
Keep in mind I am a new Builder so it's very likely that the vast majority if not all of this falls squarely on me and my abilities. The rta is really well built, it's heavy but not too heavy, it's solid. The machining is nearly flawless. The tank is very small but you know that from the description. I don't think it has the flavor that I'm accustomed to with the doggystyle or the berserker. The airflow is decent I didn't get the MTL version I got the other one so I didn't expect a tight draw but you can get what I would consider like a decent amount of airflow all the way down to what might be considered a restrictive lung. I personally keep it almost closed where only half of one of the air holes is open.
If that had been the first RTA that I ever used I would have immediately went back to a sub tank.
It was difficult to figure out how to use it even watching tutorials I couldn't find out how in the world to access the deck. I don't like the way it side fills and because it's such a small tank it's really easy to overfill. However I haven't managed to get a single leak from the tank. It's weird to Wick but I wouldn't say it's difficult. And it's not hard to get a coil in there. I imagine you could use a variety of different builds as there is a decent amount of space.
I'm just not getting the flavor that I get out of any other RTA or RDA that I use. It's almost like an RDA that they slapped a tank on LOL

Please forgive me for saying this but sort of a contradiction of terms... budget and stockpile/collection. I wish I could say that.
    Anyway, back on topic...
Lol.. I guess I use the term collection very loosely. It's a collection of very cheap products that I panic purchased but I'm relatively happy with. I definitely am using collection more in a grouping of things that are related manner rather than a display of collector items. I think my most expensive mod was $38 and my average is probably around $25. My cheapest mod was $6 LOL most of the things that I have are outdated and therefore a lot cheaper than the price they came out. I am getting the MVP 5 that I won on The Forum so that's probably going to be my most modern and most expensive product had I had to pay the full cost of it. Oh and then there's the ProVari which I feel is probably my best quality mod which was a gift a really stinking awesome gift because I love it.

Without a beauty ring your looking at an 18mm RTA as your best look.

In that department there's the Coil Art Salts RTA, Ambition Mods Purity, and the Augvape Merlin Nano..

I would look at the Merlin Nano first:

I actually felt bad saying that. I feel better after your explanation. I'm a super low budget shopper (don't have a choice) Somehow I thought you had a huge collection of gear you will never use (green eyed monster... sorry) like someone with 50 pairs of brand new shoes they never wear. You just have "low budget shinyitis"... that's fine (something to be proud of actually) I would love to help you find what you seek.
First, how about a super deal on a kit that can make a RDA, RDTA or even a squonker:
    Aspire Quad Flex Survival Kit
I love the "velocity" style dual coil deck. It even comes with a Nautilus X MTL tank.
I have a RTA that is very versatile... can do everything from tight MTL to full DL (has different airflow inserts or even don't use one at all for full airflow) It can be tricky to learn (has adjustable wick thing) It's a bit wide (24mm) and actually overhangs on my 22 mm mod, but is nice looking:
Silverplay 24mm Multi Airflow RTA | Silverplay RTA – VaporDNA

Another great deal on a RTA:
    Hellvape Rebirth 25mm RTA

All of these from USA (nothing against FT, just shipping is faster)

Hey no worries! Unfortunately I got on this a bit late even though I was vaping in 2016 I had just started and I guess I missed the memo that vaping as I knew it or as anyone knew it was almost taken away but at that point because I had just quit cigarettes I really didn't care whether I just went back to smoking. But now after this amount of time I absolutely refuse to go back to smoking cigarettes because I've seen such a vast Improvement in my health which when I had just quit of course I didn't see yet. So I definitely arrived late to the whole party. You know I saw that survival kit and I almost got it before but I was really confused as to what in the heck it was LOL I thought maybe it was a gimmick it's good to hear that it's not. I'll also definitely check out the other items. I got some great recommendations thanks to everyone. I don't know if it's still there but if you're interested in getting a mod that has a mosfet I think it's called (the basic safety features) but is not regulated... on vapenw I got a luxotic bf mod squonk for $6. You may already be well familiar with that but I got that to put away in my stash like for future because it's only $6 the sad thing is the shipping is almost as much LOL so all in all it was like $10 and some change which isn't bad still considering. I don't know what you're into but if that would suit some needs of yours you might want to check to see if it's still there I got the resin one and honestly as far as feel and looks it's my favorite mod I haven't used it yet I just made sure it turned on because I'm not ready but I mean $6.... :) thanks again I'll check everything out.

@vaper1960, you can at least get something that vapes with no experience with the X.

Tripod (Ulton clone or original) though gives a better experience though when built right, seems it likes 3mm ID coils and kayfunesque style wicking. Get it right and it gives good flavour and a decent throat hit, and also how many RTA's can you tweak like it as well.

And @AvaOrchid, what colour is your ProVari?

As 22mm would be some overhang, but it could maybe be pulled off. Somehow...

@AvaOrchid for your Project X take a look here Hussar Project X RTA Clone (by Coppervape)

There are many great tips throughout the Project X thread. Also videos, suggestions and tutorials that may be of help. Just a thought. :)

AvaOrchid, I've only been vaping 6 months but have learned so much! Yes the quad flex kit is for real (another person on here said the same thing... I talked him into trying it and he loves it) They were orignally $50 and came out during a previous "panic"... then they didn't sell enough so what's left are dirt cheap ;) I found a deal on a simple tube mod (18650 battery) with 3 voltage setting... only $9 (I would post a link, but every time I do that they are gone when I'm finally ready to order) I'm very good at doing builds... auto mechanic and DIY electronics for years. I even made my own coil jig!
