Hello everyone!

I've been using electronic cigarettes for two or three years. My rig is broken right now because I've dropped it. The tank broke into pieces instantly. I'm looking for something new. I believe I have an EGO C-TWIST battery. I'm looking for a new tank and a perhaps even a new battery if there are batteries that last YEARS :) My two main criterion are:

RELIABILITY

AND

DURABILITY

I need something that will WORK ALL THE TIME, that is low maintenance, and tougher than a brick wall. I throw my e cig in my bag, i sit on it, i drop it, etc etc. I'm looking to buy something that will last me years.

What are your favorite online stores?

I'm also looking into Whole Tobacco Alkaloids because I believe I'm one of those people that would need it in order to actually quit smoking. Sometimes I'll use my e cig for the better part of the day and then I'll get very tired and lethargic. At this point I'll go and smoke an analog and get relief from it.

Aroma? Experiences?

Also, I've been questioning the health risk of electronic cigarettes. Has anybody found any pubmed studies that put E Cigs in a bad light as a whole with regard to the actual measurement of toxicity or carcinogenicity?

Thank you all so very much!!

ok some questions for you

WHat is the budget?
SO you care if it is an all in one when the battery finally dies beyond recharging you throw out the whole device or if it is a device with a replaceable battery?
What do you want to run as a topper?

I ask because there are so many choices out there these will help us narrow down the alternatives.

If you are willing to spend around $220 for a Provari starter kit, you'll get everything that you requested above. Provape.com

The Provari has been the most reliable, dependable, and durable variable voltage e-cigarette for the last 4 years. Made in the USA with USA materials by USA workers. If it happens to break or dysfunction, the manufacturer will repair it for life.

Why Provari?

The answer to your question depends a great deal on your budget. If you have $200 plus, go for Provari. It's water resistant, solid, well machined stainless steel made in the the USA. We have three in the house. One for myself and hubby, and a third in case one goes in for repairs, which is the REAL reason to get Provari. You can have it repaired free within a year of purchase, or for a small fee for the rest of your life.

If you don't have the money for one, I'd go for an MVP 2 for a regulated, variable volt and variable watts device. They're around $40 and they're a solid device. It's a box mod, but trust me when I say they are smaller then they look online. Should last for longer then an ego with the proper care, as they don't need as much charging as an ego. I could go days before needing to charge mine. Vape quality is nearly as good as Provari. Certainly better in my opinion, then a 33 hz chip found in most other variable volt devices. You'll taste a difference at the same setting on the MVP then on your ego for sure.

For truly indestructible, you can go for a mechanical mod. However, I would only recommend this if you are willing to learn about battery safety, ohms law, etc. These will not have a chip to prevent firing shorts, or prevent you from over draining your battery. That means that there's less to break, however it also means that they aren't as safe unless you really know what you are doing.

You're looking for something like a REO.

A Reo is, indeed, a solid device. However, it is a mech mod. If you go this way OP, please learn about what I discussed on mech mods. I love my mech mod, and have nothing against them at all, but there is a steeper learning curve.

Your ego twist Has lasted you years?? Seems you found a reliable battery already, and a great value.

I have egos that have lasted years also.

Your tank seems to be the only problem?? It's just something that needs to be replaced once in awhile. Unless you can use a Polycarbonate carto tank- I've had mine for years for $12.

As for medical studies, check out CASAA for them. They're a great resource. Yes, they are biased and for ecigaretttes, but you'll find a lot of anti ecig biased studies out there via google. Compare notes and come to a decision on your own. All in all, save for the extreme anti nicotine crowd, the general consensus is that ecigs are safer then cigarettes, and if you must use either one, use the ecigarette.

Welcome in...For starters a well made quality device poorly cared for is no better than poorly made device well cared for. There is a certain amount of user care that needs to play a role....just sayin.

I would suggest a mechanical, this would eliminate some of the electronic boards that can't take much abuse and no LED windows that will break leaving the interior exposed. Just put in a battery and vape.

And on batteries, there is a method to the madness in the care for them too. Proper discharging, having a good charging system, using the correct style and design of the battery for the device needed. Having several to rotate for use is a benefit in regards to extending the battery overall life span, all batteries will loose the ability to work after so much time has passed.

Tanks are a dime a dozen and most are fragile in one way or another, the key here is to narrow down what results you expect then decide which topper you need. But in terms of durability the Kayfun with a steel tank is pretty bulletproof, but there are many more just as durable. The thing to do is figure out the metals used in the system, some use plated copper, plated brass, both of which are soft metals and can bend, become dis formed etc. Stainless Steel is by far the best durable material used, so I would suggest you focus on this metal used in the system.

WTA...I would do some serious reading on WTA's as it has been understood that the chemicals in tobaccos used to make the juice can be in the juices too, just need to do some serious research to figure out what WTA to use. I am not an expert on WTA and may have someone here who is and can be of more help, I just put this out there for the sake of having a little info to consider, meaning don't just buy a WTA and assume all is good.

As for harm from E cig use, there are some studies being done with limitations to the research but thus far the harm is minimal at best versus actual tobacco use....I know tobacco kills....no deaths yet from vaping, I will take my chances and vape!
