Are these panasonic CGR18650CH (with button top) batteries still the recommended batteries for use in a provari?

Trying to look for long lasting charge and quality....dont want to ruin the device obviously for a just a little more run time.

If so will they charge ok in the TN270 charger that provape sells?

Thanks!

When asking about Batteries, wouldn't we need to know what range of Amps you think you are going to draw thru your VVPV before a person can give a Meaningful recommendation?

As the previous poster stated, Provape only recommends the AW IMR button/nipple top batteries.

But, Orbtronic - Panasonic CGR18650CH With Top Button, 2250mAh IMR High Drain 18650 Battery Cell-Made in Japan they sell this version button top and it has been tested and works in a Provari (I have a couple and they do work). They should charge fine in the battery charger you have.

I'm not sure I would Phrase it that way.

Q. Is there ever a Point where a someone gets No Benefit from buy a Higher and Higher Performing Product? Like a High End Battery?

What I ment was that when Provape designed the Provari they built it to fit using the AW IMR's....spring length, ect were all built around the AW's length/size....

Thanks for the answers.

Maybe i should have stated question a different way...

Reason for asking is the local shop, which im not really convinced how knowledegable they are yet, was asking what batteries i had and stated he was running a much higher maw batteries in his (evic?).

Wasn't sure if there was a "community tested and verified" battery rather than the "provape recommended" battery that i should be looking at. I have not had any problems with AW's, just didn't want to pickup a couple more and miss out on something that works a lot better.

I run the device on varying levels based upon the juice im using as i find that they dont all taste the best at the same volts/watts. Been using various ohm heads in the protank experimenting as well so that is not always the same, but 1.8 - 2.6. but mainly the higher resistance ones on the provari as i have more of them and between 3.8 to 4.5 volts seems to be where i am most of the time.

I've been using AW batteries since before I even got my Provari. Since Provari says they designed the Provari to use only the AW imr nipple top batteries and it's the ONLY battery that they recommend, that's what my two Provari's get.

I can't recommend the Pila charger more. It has Provari quality build, and does charge the same 18350 batteries faster than my backup Xtar MP2 charger. I've had the Pila charger and most of my AW batteries for a year and they are all going strong.

you can't always look at mah numbers and believe them.

aw has always understated mah....the 2000 mah 18650 is higher than 2000
most other battery companies overstate mah, pretty much to make it look like they are better than they are.

and little known fact......aw 18650's are panasonic cells......just guaranteed top grade. aw does not make batteries.....they relabel them(i should say he)....batteries have grades to them a,b,c, etc. just like most things in the world. with aw you know you are getting top grade. other companies batteries are a gamble

Thanks ninfreak, makes a lot of sense now.

Kinda like those 600 watt computer speakers they sell for $2.00.
