Hi,

I've recently bought a Nautilis mini, and it's great when I'm not getting dry hits.

I replaced my coil (BVC) yesterday after I'd been getting dry hits all day. I just assumed it was time to change the coil. The new BVC (official) coil was fine yesterday, but today I'm getting dry hits again and I don't know why and it's fustrating. I'm vaping at 9-10W on this 1.8 coil. I'm vaping with Space Jam Astro 50/50 18mg. I had this problem with my last coil but it went away for a day or so before coming back.

I'm not tightening the base too much as others have recommended.
I've also tried sucking while covering the air hole, as others have said.
I've left the juice to soak in the wick for at-least 1 hour.

What am I doing wrong here? Is this a known issue with the nautilis mini bvc coils?

Any help would be really appreciated as I'm desperate to enjoy my vaping! I'm tempted to get a Kanger Subtank to see how I get on with that.
Thanks

Make sure they're primed with a few drops prior to using them.
What mod are you using? Sounds like it may be putting out more than the 9-10 watts it's showing. For example, if you are using an iTaste 20, 10 watts is more like18 due to it being tuned to mean rather than RMS. My wife uses one annd sets it to 6.5watts with her Nautilus Mini. Feels like about 8-9 watts at that setting.

Maybe you are just going too hard at it? :)

50/50 should be do-able and 9-10 watts is not exactly crazy power.

People go on about priming, but my priming lasts about 2 minutes (which is how long it takes to replace the coil, soak the mesh/wick and puff a few at low power).

It's not really a "known issue" as I've been using them for nearly a year. 2 tanks, 25+ coils, no problems other than needing to suck in a bit of liquid (not often) on higher VG juice.

Subtank won't give you these problems and you don't need to vape them at 15 or 20 watts if you don't want.

Hard to say, other than that...
