so I've recently got back into vaping, got myself a subtank mini v2 after previously owning a v1. However, I'm vaping a 50/50 juice on the 0.5ohm coil at 22w, no problems their. When I bump it upto let's say, 30w, I start to get a dry hit and subtle burning taste, anyone got any reason as to why this might be happening? Cheers
I have the mini super tank and same thing happens to me. I don't know the answer why; but when it starts happening to me on my Sigeli, I also get the over heat warning on my display, I change the coil and everything is good again.

I am a heavy vaper and a .5 coil at 24 to 30 watts only last me at most a week. That is why I want to get something I can start building coils with.

Mines a mini super tank by tobeco. Don't think its rebuildable? I was mainly replying cause I get the same thing at .5. Dry hits, change coil and its fixed.
Sorry don't know about that one. You can get the Kanger STM at VaporBeast for 23.95 though and it has an RBA deck and a .5 and 1.2 vertical coil plus spare glass, 2 RBA coils and cotton and o-rings..
According to the chart that comes with it the .5 vertical coil can be vaped at up to 50W with 50/50 juice.
Just had mine about 1 week and am using the 1.2 vertical coil at 15 watts and loving it so far. Good flavor and vapor at 15 watts.

I wonder if the Tobeco will use the Kanger Vertical coils? From what I hear they are much better then the original Kanger horizontal coils for the STM.

The build deck is easy. Make about a 2-2.5 mm coil and secure it in there then just align the holes in the coil housing with your coil. fish cotton thru and then trim about 2 mmy outside the coil chamber. All reports are that it wicks great and draws good with that wicking arrangement.
There are other wicking options as well of course.
