Recycling disposable e-cigarettes?

I have a bunch of old ecigs sitting in a box. Is there a proper way to recycle these?

It would be cool to see companies like njoy offering a recycle program, e.g. return 10 of them for some kind of credit or a free one. Im sure parts of these could be reused, at least the LEDs, maybe the batteries.

When I read the title I thought about where to go to dispose of mods with internal batteries. I have never read anything on that, even though I don't think I have disposed of any batteries, well, I imagine I have or gave them away.

Anyway, does anyone know where to dispose of old batteries?

Battery plus stores do recycling.

European Union has regs in place : Anyone selling stuff with batteries in them MUST take them back at no charge.
Supermarkets also have recycling bins for batteries. So it's convenient to get rid of them - if you remember to take 'em along on your next shopping trip.

OTOH, you're not supposed to dump them in the regular garbage.

Dunno if there's money in it yet, but recycling technologies get improved all the time.

60% of the metal in your car has been resmelted from scrap. Is actually more cost effective than processing the ores with most metals...

If there'd anything like these regs in place stateside, it'd be perfect to mess up BT's balance sheets by sending the spent batteries back to them - one by one by one

I take mine to my local Staples of Office Depot and put them in their battery recycling bin. Many other stores also accept batteries for recycling.

Metal parts go into my home recycling bin.

Local Lowes has a recycling bin for batteries right inside the entrance.
