Recyling Old E-Cigarette Parts

Hi Everyone

I'm a relatively new "vaper" who traded smelly old tobacco for e-cigs 5 months ago, to my great delight. I love my e-cigs and have not touched an "analogue" cigarette since and have already saved $1300 that would have been spent on cigs here in high-tax Illinois.

However, there is one little thing about e-cigs that bothers me a lot, which is that they produce a lot of electronic waste. I'm an ardent proponent of conservation and reuse, and so far have accumulated a tidy little pile of e-cig waste, including five atomizers and three batteries.

Do any of the manufacturers or suppliers have recycling programs like those that recycle things like printer cartridges and such, where you can send your spent or defective batteries and atomizers to be recycled or refurbished?

I tear my cartos apart and give to a fellow vapor that salvages metal.

When figured on a 10,000 year cycle, you produce less waste in a year vaping than one plastic grocery bag.

Sure is less waste than all those cigarette butts.

Batteries can be recycled wherever things like cell phones or tool batteries are recycled. Places like Home Depot or Staples. Cartos & Atomizers that are metal can go in with household recycle bin (assuming you have recycling in your area.)

You should recycle all kinds of batteries, if you can.
