Hi guys! Ive been lurking about 1 month reading as much as I can, and have almost made up my mind on an e-cig. I searched the forums with no luck, but does anyone have experience with Red Dragon brand? From what I gather, there are two things that stand out with this. First, (my coworker uses these and confirms) each filter is good for about 20 cig's worth of e-smoking. Seems a little longer than the njoy Pro I was looking at also. Second, and this seems important to me, its only a two piece unit, and you get a fresh atomizer with each cartridge change. Ive read alot about cartridges going bad so it stood out for me.

Any feedback would be appreciated. And for the record, according to their website one can become a distributer. I AM NOT ONE!!!! Im not trying to plug ANYTHING! Just looking for feedback :)

I haven't revewed that brand yet, but I have reviewed the similar brands Smoke 51, epufer's Magnum, and e-cig.com's New Minicig. A good cartridge will last as long as a pack, but a bad cartridge may only last 50 puffs, or 5 cigarettes. SO far, Smoke 51 has had the lowest failure rate for me.

Here are my reviews of the other brands, hope that will help:

I'll report back Monday night when I get back to work and get further comments from my coworker after he's had it a bit. So far it seems like a decent enough brand. My problem is the more I read the more confused I get...there too many choices lol. I dont want to end up spending $400 before I find something that will work for me :p I may end up breaking down and getting the starter kit from Costco (njoy NPro). If that doesnt work for me I'll gladly use their liberal return policy

Well, I've looked into them. They look like rebranded e-cig.com new minicigs. I tried those direct from e-c.c, and they were OK; the batteries work better than Smoke 51, but rattled around inside their tubes. I've e-mailed with the owner, and he says they worked extensively with the manufacturer to improve the product. Believe as much of that as you want. ;)

I will see about getting some to review ASAP, but in the meantime if anyone wants to try it, you can use discount code LEAFORD for 5% off.

And BTW, there's another one selling what look like e-c.c new minicigs, Bloog Home. She also claims to have worked closely with the manufacturers, etc, etc, etc. Her I do believe, but I've dealt more with her than I have yet with the guys at Red Dragon. Plus she's cute. I have a hard time being skeptical in the face of cute.:pervy:

Just kidding. The real reason I believe her is that she has plans for future new products, which sound interesting. If she's going to the effort for that, I have no reason to doubt she did with these.

I have a coupon code there, too. LEAFORD as usual. I'll let you know how much its for as soon as I find that e-mail.

I've actually got the Red Dragon e-cig a couple weeks ago. It definitely seems to be the same cigarette as the EAZE Magnum/Loong Totem/new mini e-cig. With that said, I did like the product initially. Smoke production was great, the cartridge flavors were decent, and the cartride itself did last nearly three days of heavy vaping which is amazing.

With that said, the battery life was pretty short and after those three days, I had a dead battery on my hands. I've sent the battery and charger back to Red Dragon and they're going to send me a replacement. We'll see how the new one performs.

Red Dragon has been easy to deal with from a customer service standpoint and shipping has been ridiculously quick. I think I will probably end up getting all my batteries from them simply because they offer an unheard of 1 year warranty on those things!

I haven't had a chance to try refilling those cartridge/atomizers yet but I'll test that out once I get my replacement back. I am currently happily vaping away on my DSE 901 right now and I do have the new mini e-cig on order to do a comparison test. I'll let you guys know how that goes.

Overall though, I think Red Dragon has been a good company to do business with and if they can get some good batteries, they're worth working with since their e-cig is great.

I have been using the Red Dragon for almost a month. It is my 'go to' electronic cigarette when I want good smoke. I also have a Njoy Npro and a DSE 801.

I was so impressed with the Red Dragon that I bought one for my brother-in-law, a very heavy smoker. He gets an amazing amount of vaping out of each cartridge/atomizer. We have not experienced any battery problems; a charge seems to last at least one full day (I usually plug it in to recharge each night at bedtime).

Each cartridge will equal around 10-15 cigarettes, I guess. I can nurse an original cartridge for two days.

It is easy to recharge with e-liquid: use a toothpick or such and pry out the small plastic tip at the end of the filter. You will see the matting with a small hole in the middle. Do NOT drip into the hole (where the heating wire is). Simply drip a couple of drops along the side, allowing the liquid to be absorbed into the matting.

I have been using buyreddragon.com. Excellent service! Very fast shipping.

The cartridges are $11.95 for four (use the code to get 5 percent off). Yet I find it worth it since it is a very dependable vaping experience, and is simply great for travelling. We are going on vacation for 6 nights soon and I will be packing the Red Dragon and a couple of packs of cartridges, and I am ready to go.

I was surprised at how much I liked the 'cherry' flavor. Seems to give the vapor more body.

Okay, so I've had the RD e-cig for about a month and a half... and got my brother in on it too. After about 3 days, one of the two batteries in my kit went south (stopped working) and the other followed a couple days later. My brother has had a battery go south on him as well.

I sent my batt in for replacement... they have you send both batt's and the charger back and just send you a whole new kit w/ a pack of 4 free carts when this happens... I also complement their customer service. The kit that I received is supposedly "new and improved", and I did notice subtle changes, but only on the carts, where they added a black rubber ring to where the batt and cart meet when connected. I assume that this helps retain batt life or something... not sure.

I also bought Johnson's Creek Smoke Juice and have been refilling the carts. Just refilled for a second time (about 10 carts that I have- then I smoke them all and refill as needed, about every 5-7 days it seems). The "wool" which is apparently what is used as the medium to absorb the N-juice (I just coined that!) does become compromised after several refills it seems. Not that it doesn't absorb any longer, but becomes blackened from exposure to heat it appears.

I doesn't look like their is any way to replace this material either, so you have to buy new carts eventually and start over. I would say that a cart is going to be good for 1-2 refills, then you're done. I sincerely hope that someone begins to sell cheap knock-off carts because it is $12 / 4 carts on the RD site... maybe almost as expensive as analog smoking when you factor in the N-juice that I bought as well. Pretty close anyhow. But, I am primarily doing this to live longer, not to save $$$. If I really wanted to save cash, I'd quit (yeah, I know... I've tried quitting unsuccessfully too- just saying).

So all in all, when they are working well, I love the RD product and the carts are very good. The batt life is not bad when they work, and the vapor they produce when functioning well is fantastic- much better than analog. But I'm not a totally satisfied consumer yet. I want to see the price of the carts drop about $6 / 4 units. That would be fair... they are making a killing off of these right now- they probably cost $.09 / cart to make, delivered.

I also want to see them sell the material for the inside so you can fill them for longer periods without "burnout" of the wool material. But then again, I'd like them for free too- that's just not going to happen.

Can they run a fricken' sale on the carts though??? Damn!

I will say again: I find the Red Dragon e-cigarettes to be excellent. I have not had any problem with them. I have not really ‘tested’ the battery, since I stick the battery into the charger every night at bedtime.

The cartridges cost $11.95 for four (use the code and it is 5 percent off). Expensive? Well, yes. However, I was paying (here in Texas) some $6.00 per pack of analog cigarettes, while each cartridge of Red Dragon lasts me for around 12 smokes ( assuming 12 puffs per analog), plus I can drip and so keep the cartridge going. I have one cartridge that has lasted a full month, using the drip method (I will add, another poster said to drip into the threaded side, not the ‘mouth’ side, as I was doing; I have found out that dripping into the ‘thread’ hole works, and so no chance of dripping into the heating wire).

I am also vaping a DSE 801 as well as a Njoy Npro. All have their strengths and weaknesses. The Njoy, small cart and all, is excellent for the ‘occasional’ drag during the work day. The 801 is good for the more ‘urgent’ need. However, when I am in the mood, like when drinking alcohol, of a blast of ‘smoke’, as well as a pretty good throat hit (especially if, as another poster suggested, holding the mouthful of smoke inside your mouth for a few seconds to give a better throat hit), you simply cannot beat Red Dragon.

I also have discovered that the ‘cherry’ flavored Red Dragon tastes very, very good. I had not expected that. Let me say that as a lad I smoked ‘unfiltered Camels’, then later moved to the more whimpy ‘filtered’ cigarettes, until I reached the ‘low tar/nicotine’ crap of Marlboro Ultra Lights. Now, the cherry flavored Red Dragons are truly satisfying. Great taste.

"they probably cost $.09 / cart to make"

No way ! Even the juice they contain would cost nearer a dollar - and the cart includes an atomizer. As you can refill them a few times and each fill lasts perhaps a day, the price is not too bad, even if it could be a little lower.

ps: no connection whatever with the company, barely heard of them.

I've been on the red dragon website for the last two days trying to order a kit but the website seems to be generating a lot of errors and prevents me from doing any transactions... anyone here know whats up with that? I tried looking for a customer service number but couldn't find one. If you have any suggestions on how to contact them quickly other than email please let me know.

Also, I usually smoke about 10-15 marlboro menthol lights a day... so obviously I'm going to go with the menthol cartridges but what would you recommend in terms of nicotine level? I'm just trying to match my current daily intake from the menthol lights for right now.

go to e-cig.com. They have the exact same cartridges for a lot less. The base price is $6.95 but the more you buy the less it is. I bought 4 boxes of the same flavor and it went to $5.94 a box. Each box has 4 cartridges in it and the box is exactly the same without the red dragon logo on it. They also have the cartridges in 24 mg if you like. Also many more flavors. The ones that red dragon charges $39 they have for $6.95. They are in China, but I have received 3 orders within 7-10 days. Also the batteries are $12.95 instead of $27!!

I have had my red dragon for less than a month. I had the usb charger die on me which was a pain. Now, either my replacement charger is dead, or the batteries are no longer holding a charge. Unfortunately there is no way to tell, as the replacement charger seems erratic (the light sometimes flashes red, sometimes switches colors when hit by slight vibrations ....).

I am officially sick of this, and ready to change over to a 510.

Also, while they reply to email quickly I prefer to actually SPEAK to someone, and they don't do that.

I did a great deal of research and settled on trying the Red Dragon first, mostly because I liked the idea of the cartridge/atomizer combination. Yes, the price reflects combining the two components, but it seemed like replacing atomizers and carts as seperate units, could easily become more expensive if the atomizers turned out to have intermittent issues with life.

Initially I'm really impressed with (as a newbie) how well the e-cig simulates the smoking experience, and the RD has been fairly consistent through the first few days, although I seem to be struggling a bit determining if weak 'smoke' is the result of not knowing how to draw on the device, weak batteries, or the cart going empty......I'm sure I'll work this out in the short term though. When I do have it working optimally, it works very well and I'm pleased with the smoke volume. I'm liking the cherry carts, I really expected more of a chemical taste/flavor than what I'm getting. the order/shipping response was very quick and I was vaping within a few days of placing the order.

My only complaint up to this point is the lack of customer service. There is no contact phone number that I could find and email response is not impressive. I also asked someone to CALL ME back, gave my phone number, and got an email response from them. Apparently they don't like to use the phone and not giving a contact phone number violates one of my primary expectations of companies that I choose to do business with. This coupled with what I'm now seeing as potential stocking issues (ok, two complaints), with cartridge flavors/strength combinations not being available, is not giving me the 'warm fuzzies' about RD over the long term.

This is a little saddening because I'm overall quite satisfied with the product, but being that my inventory needs with respect to the having this 'vice' available on a day-to-day basis (so that I don't go back to analogs), may not be able to be fulfilled over the long term........I'm not so sure that RD is going to become my mainstay. I'm just starting to look into dripping but didn't want to rush into that as a newbie, so I'm looking for a model/manufacturer that works for me, and can be responsive to my orders and requests.

I read in this thread where e-cig has compatible cartridges but I'm not real thrilled with buying anything out of China, based on issues over the past few years, with a variety of tainted consumer products coming out of there.

Am I disilusioned that e-cig is based in China, and that RD is manufactured in the US? Is e-cig the only option for RD compatible cartridges?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

I started vaping with the RD myself, found this forum 2 days later and had a DSE901 and 30ml marb ejuice by the next week.

RD was a great introductory product but I did not like their features. Mic based batt was always going on/off while walking, seemed to shut off too soon for good vape/throat hit, barely 1.5 hours per batt and I didn't have much luck refilling or topping them off.

I was not impressed with their tobacco flavor, felt the cartomizers were a bit too pricey and didn't want to be 'bound' to them for replacement and upkeep.

I've since moved on to the Janty Stick with manual switch, 3-5 hours of batt life and volume purchasing of juice.

The concept and size were great I just think the delivery was poor when compared to all the other options available - IMHO.
