Does anyone get a burnt taste like halfway through a cart? It's happened on like 85% of carts, it still gives off vapor and has a good flavor until maybe halfway through then it has a horrible burnt taste to it. It still gives off a lot of vapor but the burnt taste is unbearable. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

So far its happened on Cherry and Vanilla, haven't had any other flavor. Oh I tried grape once but it was a little too harsh... i like the fact that theres little to no throat hit. its funny because i used to smoke newports for 10 years and the fact that theres little to no throat hit on the e-cigs kinda reassure that "healthy aspect" for me.

Might not hurt to try an experiment if you have some e-juice. As soon as it starts to tast funny, try topping off a cart and see if it gets better. They can be filled. I think I saw a thread here on refilling these type carts. Do not have any at present to try it on mine.
when taste starts to go to the "burnt" taste This is the time that I start to add juice to it.
I find that if you turn the cart upside down (mouth side down) and drip through the hole in the bottom (threaded side) one drop at a time no more then 3 or 4 drops this will produce good throat hit and taste. my carts with dripping last about a week each.
If after you drip and take a puff the batt flashes remove and make sure the threads are DRY!!

I see evreyone on here complaining about the LTv9 clones ( Red Dragon, Bloog, smoke51,etc..) not having any throat hit, I dont have this problem. I think this thing hits great you just have to put some time in to it. the carts right out of the box are somewhat weak in the hit department but I dont care I really dont like the flavors they have anyway. I just order them for the cart itself and the atomizers, I drip from minute one.

damn i wish i had bought sum juice, didn't think i'd need it since the carts n atomizers were together n they were disposable. i thought that the beauty about disposable carts was the fact that u aint had to fill em up... oh well
Just got the red dragon last week. Although this was my first ecig it is a great product. The only small complaints I have from them are the very short battery life, and also I recieved a faulty cartridge in my first pack.
I am new to Ecigs but i just bought my first Red Dragon and love it. The amount of vapor however is low for the first few drags till it warms up and i feel the switch doesn't stay activated long enough to produce a full hit although it may just be the juice they use...Could anyone give input on this?
Also the flavor of the Marlboro doesnt taste like Marlboro instead it is more like pipe tobacco although still enjoyable after a bit. after reading the reviews 'm gonna try refilling with the JC Peach Cobbler.

Just registered on your forums. I recently bought the 3-piece set from Red Dragon and thought I'd let you know how it went for me. This is the first e-cig I've ever tried.
What I ordered:
3-Piece Kit (1x Battery, 1x cartridge (Med Marlboro), 1 carrying case)
4x Med Vanilla Catridges
4x Med Menthol Cartidges
What I typically smoke:
1 pack / day Camel No. 9 Menthol

Battery - The battery is utter crap. Perhaps I got a bum one but I only get good drags off the first 3 or 4 puffs. I let that thing charge overnight in my comp and same result. Whether I charge it for 8 hours or 1, same result... the first 3 or 4 hits are all that are even close to satisfactory. After about 3-5 "cigs" (25-45 puffs), the thing is blinking saying out of juice, tho I can still puff on it for a few.
Throat Hit - Just learned this term. Was wondering what to call it. None, none at all. I was hoping I would get some and it's good to know other companies have it. I'll probably end up trying a few more and not give up hope on the whole e-cig thing.
Vapor - Very little. I have to prime that thing like I would if I lit a real cig and only got 1/4 of the cig to burn!!! Even then, I get very little compared to what I see others in YouTube video reviews showing off with their e-cigs. My jaw dropped when I read others saying this product had massive amounts of vapor.
Flavor - Tastes like anything other than tobacco and menthol. Really sweet taste in my mouth and extremely weak. All the carts are similar. Vanilla is the only one I can even taste a hint of the advertised flavor in. And it really doesn't taste very good either.
The High - I ordered the Medium nicotine strength cartridges. I was under the assumption that Camel No. 9 Menthols are a medium nicotine strength cigarette. If I continue like a normal cigarette (like 8-10 drags or so) I get really light-headed.

I don't want to give up on e-cigs yet so I'll probably try either the Janty Dura or the KISS box. I've read a lot of great things about them. The ability to use the KISS while plugged in at home means I don't have to depend on horrible batteries that probably couldn't even power a calculator.

First I'm surprised you aren't getting any vapor. The one I have kicks out a lot of it!
Yes, the throat hit is lacking...next to none...BUT, it's the result of the short 3 second cutoff that the battery has. IE: You inhale for 3 seconds and it shuts down. You CAN get a decent throat hit out of the Red Dragon, it's all in the method. Inhale for 2 seconds, pause, inhale again for 2 seconds, pause, then inhale for another 2 seconds and then you'll get the throat hit you desire and a whole lot of vapor!
When you get that burnt taste it means that your cartridge has dried up. At the first sign of that burnt taste put some juice in it....5-10 drops...and you are good to go again.
You can refill the cartridges at least a couple of times after using it by dripping your juice down the hole in the cartridge. (The hole in the cartridge which hooks up to the battery end.)
Your battery life should be much better and since you aren't getting much vapor from it my guess is that you have a bad battery. I suggest you contact Red Dragon and get another one. Bad batteries are not uncommon in the e-cig world, but vendors are always good about replacing them.

OK I'm only one week into this but, my experience with Red Dragon was great. I read and watched the review at Electronic Cigarette Review ( I can't post the link because I haven't done 15 posts)

When I orginally ordered my bloog it was shipped with the low marlboro light carts.
This would not do so I ordered marlboro medium nic from red dragon because bloog was on back order. Much better.
Then I went on vacation and before I left red dragon was the only one that had any carts and they were the marlboro high nic.
They taste terrible.
After reading the rest of this thread and I decided to puff much lighter and it's much better.
Hopefully it will stick this time because I went back to smoking.
My main issue and I want to see if anybody else has this problem is I get liquid that leaks out if I puff to hard and it tastes like nicotine (HORRIBLE TASTE)?
