Not sure if this is related or not, but since using my e cig, I've noticed my eyes will get red/bloodshot especially around my iris's..

Has this happened to you? Let me know because if you have got red eyes, there is a good possibility it is related, if not I will consider other possibilities, but it seemed strange to me..

Thanks

My eyes have been red a lot lately too.

But I don't know if it is from vaping or from reading through this forum every night since I started.

I've been vaping for about 12 days now, converted a fellow co-worker. Spent almost as much money as I pay for a months rent but I love it. I tried a cig last night and it was so nasty... ugh.

This forum is such a wonderful source of information. :)

Are you using lenses? I do remember someone having to moisten those more often, or with a thicker gel or something?

Other possibilities:
- getting some liquid onto your hands/fingers, then without thinking rubbing your eyes?
- when you stop smoking tobacco, one of the side-effects can be that, for some time (couple of months to half a year) any allergies get worse (after that, they often get less then when you were smoking; but first there is a spike upwards) - could it be this?

I don't use lenses. but rubbing my eyes is a possibility..I've been closing my eyes tonight to see how they react in a few hrs.
I hope my allergies don't get worse, Im already allergic to lobster, shrimp. uncooked apples, cherries, pears, peaches, blueberries, carrots, sno peas and soymilk.
Those allergies started 4 yrs ago after my 2nd child was born and Im not even sure of all the uncooked food Im allergic to yet. the list keeps growing..

Well, I have been through all the liquids..PG, PEG and VG liquids and still have a reaction of red dry eyes...

I don't even use nicotine liquids anymore and it is still happening...I can go a whole day without vaping and my eyes will still be irratated from the night before..

I add drops to moisturize them but it only helps temporarily...

Anyone else having eye issues!!??

For the first time in my life I have dry eyes. I have to put drops in my eyes everyday.
I have said this before on here. I do not know if vaping is causing this. I went to the eye doctor complaining about my eyes. Some days it is worst than others.
In the morning when I wake up my eyes are red. So yes,dry red eye problem here.

Cigarettes themselves are processed using Pg to keep them moist during the manufacturing process of the tobacco leaf. So, as a smoker you have dealt with PG and VG throughout the years of smoking. I would venture to say that the only outcome at this point that can be happening is some of the liquid that made contact with your fingers is making is way into your eyes by rubbing them, like Doc said. I don't really know what to tell you except ... maybe try to only wipe your eyes ith a tissue or clean rag the next time that you feel you ned to rub them. See if that helps.

No, Im not getting any liquid in my eyes..I wish it was as simple as that..maybe it has something to do with the metal part of the atomizer and not the liquid at all? There are so many factors who knows..it may be as simple as the flavoring as well..

My mother got visibly pink/red eyes when she spent any amount of time in the closed-off room where I was vaping during the holidays at home. (I vape 50-70% PG mixtures.) So I can believe it might be due to the PG, or, the combination of PG's drying/irritation effect on eyes and the unbelievable dryness indoors during winter.

Try some lubricating eye drops, and more ventilation/air circulation in the room(s) you vape in?

(I don't know if VG will aide the issue. Given all the other allergies you have, you might have a PG issue - in people with a lot of sensitivities, it's more like a 5% rate instead of a 2.5% rate from the data I've seen.)

I do use drops everyday now....it got so bad at one point when I was using PEG liquid I had to go to the eye doctor

I also have developed red eyes after vaping for a month. Sometimes I would have bloodshot eyes in the morning when I smoked analogs. It disappeared for about a week after I started to vape, but now red eyes have returned with a vengence, the problem is not solved with eye drops.

I am careful not to get liquid in my eyes by rubbing them. I am going to make a conscious effort to blow the smoke firmly away and see if that helps.
