Redirect ads

I see ECF now supports third party ads that are not e-cigarette oriented. Been getting this when switching from forum to forum, about every fourth redirect. This is a shame since the users are required to stay on topic, but I guess that doesn't extend to the site itself.

Check your system for malware and check your browser for rogue plugins, that is not normal behavior for the forum. I tried disabling my adblockers and clicking through a few different forums and couldn't replicate what you describe, so I suspect one of those two things may be to blame

I had a black screen crash on my computer and had to use dh's. It about drove me bonkers! Every time I would open a thread I would be redirected to various ecig vendor sites. Not so on my computer.... Pop ups maybe redirecting?

Sounds like an issue with the computer.

Do some scans and I'm sure you'll find out the issue. I've been on forums for over 14 years now and have never had one redirect unless it was an issue on my end.

Not directed at you here, just a general comment since people love blaming their issues on the board.

If you're not internet smart, click on random stuff and look at questionable sites (ie: porn) be prepared for this type of stuff to happen. Hopefully it is easy to get rid of and you don't need to format. There's reasons why plug-ins such as No Script exist (for a well known one).

What he said. Check you add-ons and plug-ins.

I had a similar problem a month ago, it was my computer. Atty and Tibs took care of me.

Your computer is infected with malware. There are definitely no ads on this site. What kind of browser are you using, and what Internet Security are you running? You picked up something nasty somewhere on the internets, that's for sure.
