You can use any e juice with any PV. Unfortunately, parts are not interchangable but juice is. I cannot vouche for either of those models because I use the kr808d-1. I'm still new at it but I think you getting a drip tip is the way to go. You'll get a lot of responses on those two models because they are the most popular here.

You can refill them

Note - do not buy something because you like the way it looks - there is a lot of overpriced crap on the web and it's mostly at the fanciest sites w/ "testimonials" and "24-hour Support" and fake review sites claiming it's the best. And some of those ripoff rebranders try to make things harder to refill.

I recommend you get a popular model with manual batteries. Manual batteries are more sealed on the threaded end so safe for dripping and refilling cartomizers etc. Popular models are the ones that actually HAVE blank cartomizers available. Most people end up preferring dripping and/or cartomizers to atomizer+carts.

Look at Joye 510, KR808D-1 (also Vapor4Life), and if your need long battery life look at the fat-battery models with those threadings

NOTE - If a model is a 2-piece then it uses "cartomizers" aka cartos and those have limited refillability - you cannot change the stuffing. Most people prefer them to atomizer+cart. A cart can be refilled almost infinitely, you can cut new stuffing for it, etc and the atomizer is what might wear out. Cartomizers are disposable combined atomizer+cart in one screw-on piece. Cartos hold more liquid, provide more consistent drags and don't need liquid added as often. If you keep a carto damp you may get 4-7 days use out of it or more.

yeah well im planning on getting a drip tip im thinking about going with the ego or the 510, cant i use any brand of e juice? and if you guys have any thoughts or comments about either the ego or 510 it would be appreciated

Like the eGo a lot better than the 510 myself. I don't like to carry a charger everywhere I go. Yes, any brand of juice will work. Some say to avoid Chinese juice because it might be made with toxic waste but, it's probably okay. It's what usually comes in pre-filled cartos.

If you want to drip, get manual batteries - that means 510 manual or 510 mega xl manual or for long battery life Riva510 or Ego

And buy some starter juice (you will be buying juice elsewhere but buy enough starting juice to not run out first - get 25-30ml), a get drip tip, and optionally get some cartomizers (simple ones like Boge soft-cap and for 510 you need standard resistance, for Riva or Ego you can use standard or the hotter low resistance) And make sure your kit comes with at least 2 attys. You should not drip while driving a car or doing anything else that requires your attention.

And yes - most people seem to end up preferring dripping or cartomizers (or the new Ego tanks) to using a cart on an atomizer. Carts are a bit of a pain-in-the-a compared to the other methods of vaping. Carts need juice added pretty often, the drags are less consistent, they are the method most likely to give you a mouth full of juice. Many people find the added expense of cartomizers worth it for the convenience. If you fill a cartomizer well and keep it damp you can get 4-7 days use out of it and I usually get 2 weeks out of a Boge soft-cap

I do use a couple of small-cart ecigs at home for vaping juices I occasionally want a drag of. I have a Joye 306 atty + 306 cart (with blue foam stuffing I added) sitting assembled if I want to use that on my 510 and my old M401 is set up at home too and in those two I leave a couple of juices I enjoy occasionally. My usual favorite juices are in cartos.
