Refill cartomizer with different liquid?

Hi everybody!
So I just purchase my first e-cig (a pro volt kit) and it works good! I just want to know, when you want to switch flavor of e-liquid, should I use a different cartomizer or use the same that holded another flavor before?

Also, when do you know when you need to replace the cartomizer? Does it stop vaping?

And is it normal it makes my mouth very dry and irritated a little bit my throat? I now use a menthol 50/50pg-vg with medium nicotine.

It is generally a good idea to switch to a new cartomizer when you change flavors. Especially if it is a new flavor you haven't tried before. If the two flavors are similar and you are not testing a new juice, you can simply add the second juice on top of the first. There will be a mingling of flavors for a while.


You can tell when it's time for a new cartomizer a couple of ways. The draw will become stiffer and/or the flavor and vapor will begin to decrease.

Vaping can cause dryness of the mouth and throat and dehydration of the body in general. You can overcome that by insuring that you are well hydrated. Drink extra liquids, especially water.
