So I just refilled three of my carts for the first time last night around 6-7PM and tried them out this morning. I got tons of vapor, but a lot less flavor and no throat hit whatsoever.

My procedure: I took the end cap off, took out the stopper, and put 6-7 drops down the side while turning the cart. I then let it soak up for about 30min, before putting another 6-7 drops down the side also turning the cart as I went. I did put the silicone caps (sleeves they come in) back on, which maybe didn't let them dry?

I know one of them immediately had a burnt taste, so I think that one is done - vaped too much? But the other two should be fine to refill at least once right?

What liquid did you refill with? I have been refilling the same cart for 4 days now(I know at least 10 refills, probably much more than that), with no sign of lost flavor, TH, or vapor.

Do they gurgle when taking a drag? if so, take it off the battery and gently blow through it from the mouthpiece end into a paper towel or something.

Honestly, I don't let them sit AT ALL. I refill, put it back on the battery, and go to town. It usually takes a good 10 drags or so for them to start working "just right" again after refilling. Like the heating element is too wet and needs to burn off a little or something.

Just finished doing my first refills today and noticed this same thing. First few drags after the refill were hard and the vap/flavor was barely there. But after a few hits, it is working just as well as it did when it was new.

Use the straw mod with quilt-batting polyfill that has unidirectional fibers. Pack loose to medium density.

This is the risk you run when you randomly reply to the "latest thread" on the front page without reading the original post LOL! someone thought this was a 510/901 cart issue clearly hahahaha

I get that "gurgling sound" often when filling mine this way. It's hit or miss for me.

I started dripping into the battery end, and extend the life of my cartomizers that way.

Using my Kamel carts, my vapor has almost doubled as well.

that *gurgling* sound is a clear sign of too much juice. Or the cart needs shaken down as the juice dodged the batting and went right for the hole...ALWAYS have the buttplug in when refilling..if it gurgles after violent shaking towards the battery end with the buttplug in, she's flooded.

I still don't recommend using battery end dripping, and particularly not with auto batts. At least with the new sealed manual batts there's no chance of juice leakage.

On a side note, a horribly overfilled cartomizer filled properly can *still* murder a battery through leakage (gurgling sound). Best bet when refilling: Err on the side of caution. If you cant get 18 drops to fit without gurgling on a cart you know to be empty, then when buttplug and condom on (battery end only) shake the juice down..solves it every time unless the cart is *totally* full of juice..in which case you got really overzealous with the refilling.

Oh yeah, still learning, and still filling....but I find that if I use one carto during the day, I just add a few drops in the battery end, and it rocks me the rest of the night. :)

Still have to perfect my refill methods....will get there soon.

:)

Well, I drip carefully into the hole in the top of the cartomizer...where the cart meets the battery.

It's not recommended by a lot of people on the forums, however if I just want that cart to last me the rest of the night without getting a fresh one or refilling and waiting, then it works like a charm.

Just add a few drops and go.

However, you should really only do this with manual batterys/pass though, since it's been known to kill an auto battery in its time.

It's important to remember that a "drop" is a relative term depending on the device you're using to supply your refills. I have a few filling devices now and they all put out a little different amount per individual drop. For example, some tiny 2ml sample bottles have very tiny droppers included, so 18 drops with that will be less total juice than your average dropper (if there is such a thing).

Great info!
