Hey all, I'm about 2 and 1/2 days in with my new Echo, abolutley loving it and do not ever intend to return to analogs! I'm wondering about the cartomizers though. My first purchase included 5 cartomizers and 4 different flavors so that has been working out well so far with switching between the four filled with different juices and having one empty on stand by, but after getting started and enjoying it so much I felt the urge to try some more flavors. I currently have a variety of other juices on the way from rawrvapes. Do I need more cartomizers if i want to try other juices or can I refill one that I have with a different flavor without effecting the taste?

For those flavors you want to sample, use a 306 low resistance atty and a drip tip. You get the best flavor that way and you can wash out the atty in hot water, do a dry burn, and take off with a new flavor. The ones you like, you can dedicate to a fresh carto. You may need an adapter for your Echo. Isn't it a KR808 thread? I think that's the same as a 901 thread.

Thanks for the advice. If I can safely clean them I'll just go that route for now. If not I'll get more or switch to atty with drip tip. Does anybody know if these cartomizers can be safely cleaned and how? I seem to remember seeing a detailed thread about cleaning cartomizers somewhere but I've lost it.

This is the method I use to clean out cartos that have a flavor I don't like and want a fresh carto for a new juice.

Note: Instead of cleaning the polyfill and diaper in an ultrasonic leaner with vodka, I just rinse and re-rinse in hot water. Works fine for me.

If/when you start dripping with an atty, do yourself a favor and get a drip shield. The Echo is auto and leaking will kill the batt in a hurry. Empire 901 HEX Drip Shield

DaveP, will the attys in that link work with the Echo? I'm looking for the same thing, I think - I love the cartos but don't feel like cleaning them :)

The ones in the link are 510 thread and work with the eGo, Riva, and Kgo, and any ecig with a 510 thread. They will work if you have an adapter that screws into your battery with a female thread to attach the atomizer.

Here's one source for adapters. They come in 801 and 901 (kr808) to 510 sizes and 510 to 801. $4 each. They are in north Ga, despite the Las Vegas tag in the URL. They must have a partner in Nevada.

You want to be careful dripping with an auto battery. I do it but I have a bit of experience. Get yourself a $10 manual 808 battery until you know you can do it without it leaking. Since you will only be dripping at home and using your echo on the go, a 280mah will be fine. 901 atomizers work with those kr8 batteries. They produce better flavor than a 510 atomizer. I have a 306 coming to see about the hype, though.
Congrats on the echo. It's my favorite PV in the 3.7v range.

These clean well with the flush method described with the kit sold at Smoke TecCartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

555 is a long time daily vape for me. Almost all my cartos have the flavor in some form or another because I can always taste the old flavor in a carto unless they have been reused a couple of times with a different flavor. But you should really get some new blanks, if for nothing else but to refresh your senses of that yummy flavor. You will thank me later when you take a couple days away from it and come back.

Sure you can. I've come up with some surprising flavor combos that way. Some surprisingly good, some not so much.

Thanks, glad to know its ok to mix, everyone else seems to be saying its a no no, and don't want to pay postage just for carts, my supplier did antcipate that I would need a drip tip when I didn't order one, and sent me a comp one, if they send me blank carto's as well I will think they are god and vape with them for life!
