Refilling cartomizers

Ok, so a few days ago I got my Ace from Puresmoker.com, so far I like it alright, but there is hardly if any vapor that come out, I feel the throat hit, but no vapor. I am guessing its the juice in the cartomizer. But I also noticed that each cart has a atomizer in it. So my main question is about how long does one of the atomizers last? I figure its less then an atomizer in my 51 where I change carts but not the whole thing. Also I see that you can refill them, so are we looking at refilling them 5 times before they "die"? or can you make them last longer? It would seem that a cartomizer would be a more expensive way to enjoy the vapeing. Am I semi right with this? My only other vaping unit is the smoke51 (not a huge fan) but I just keep refilling carts with my juice and keep going. What is a typical life span for just a regular atomizer vs a cartomizer? I am looking for a unit that has quality but also a low cost of maintance or to refill. (most things in life dont work that way, but I am hoping) ;).

I seem to be able to fill a carto 4 times before I clean it, then I fill it 2 or 3 more times before it "goes bad", meaning it tastes burnt or doesn't hold juice. I fill it about twice a day, so this means I get at least 3 days from it. I buy a 5 pk of blanks for $8.50 so each is $1.70. Divide that by 3 and it's like 56 cents a day average. I use about 1-2 ml of juice a day so that's like another 56 cents. So I'm spending about a buck a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I'm new at this, there may be more tricks to make cartos last longer, but hey, $6.50 vs $1??? I'll take that anytime.

Artus, Your Ace is a KR808D-1 (good choice!!!) two piece unit. You can buy blank/empty cartos on PureSmokers website (Ace Atomz/Cartomizers) for about a dollar. On the cartos that came with the unit, you can refill them by using the condom method and you don't have to "clean" the carto first if you are using a similar e-juice in the carto. For example, if you had a carto with coffee flavoring, add more coffee to it. When they finally plug up, toss 'em. You've got your moneys worth out of it.

As far as vapor is concerned, the more VG the carto has, the more vapor you'll get ... but less TH. You can order cartos in different VG/PG strengths. For me, 60% VG and 40% PG works real good.

Hope this answers your question. I've never used a unit with separate atomizers so I can't comment on them.
