Hello. I own a set of halo G6 e-cigs and I have a question about refilling cartomizers. I have experienced cartomizers going dry, and producing the infamous "burnt taste", which apparently lingers in the carto even when refilled. (or am I doing something wrong?) Therefore it seems paramount to refill them before this occurs.

Your information pamphlet, included in the starter kit, mentions that you should fill the cartomizer with 0,75 ml e-juice when it needs refilling.

I have used halo brand liquid, and a halo brand measurement-dropper. I make sure not to hit the center cylinder by dripping in the sides, holding the carto at an angle. I also wait between dripping 4-5 drops. However, filling the carto with 0,75ml, even when completely dry, seems to result in over-soaking and leaking.

Perhaps 0,75 ml is a bit much, or is there a preferred method that I have failed to employ? Got a video-tutorial?

Thanks. Sneak. :)

I have just been dripping in a few drops every time I feel necessary. When I am filling a blank one I tilt and rotate the cartomizer around filling with about 20 drops. Here is some advice I have gotten:

Here's something else: You can refill them a lot as long as you keep them moist. I use the condom method to fill them. If you look that up on youtube you will find videos showing you how to do it. It's really easy.

For a first time fill, I think .75 ml is about right. It does take some time to thouroughly soak down to the bottom, and so adding drops at intervals is a good idea. Keep the carto wet; don't wait until the vape starts diminishing. That is when you will get the burnt taste which will not go away. With experience, it wii get much easier to find what works the best.

Every one here has already given some great advice.

Myself, I've started to use the syringe method at first fill with 1ml (just faster for me), others love the condom method, and others just drip, but the syringe works best for me...then, Let it sit several hours to soak in (with the booties on), then a few drops as needed which will depend on how much and how hard you vape.

And yes, a bit of leaking with the first, but it lets you know that the carto is properly saturated and ready to go. In my more impatient days of not letting them sit for a bit, I've had a few still have dry spots even after it leaks thru the bottom (have taken them apart and seen them after getting that burnt taste), hence the letting it sit for awhile thing just to be sure.

Everyone finds what works best for them after awhile, but it is best to keep a few drops going in every couple few hours at least in order to keep the carto moist. A carto can last a very long time with proper care and feeding :vapor: :)

Didn't really want to start a new thread, so hopefully someone will read this : )

I just ordered some G6 XLs for my roommate, and I need to show her the condom method of filling so she can do it on her own. If anyone has these, how much liquid do you put in the condom to fill an XL? And if she fills the condom 3/4s of the way, would that be enough liquid in it so it didn't burn?

Let me propose this approach, forget condom method, etc just potential mess. First Dont worry too much about overfilling. Just put drops into the side of the carto fill avoiding the center until you think its full (you will learn after some practice). Wait a minute,Then blow into the mouthpiece side, blowing any excess into a tissue out the battery connection side, wipe off, enjoy.

New cartos typically hold about 25 to 30 drops, refill about 15 to 20 drops from a standard dropper bottle. Sometimes halo has smaller dropper will need to increase respectively.
