I was wondering if you can refill the disposable cartomizers from the two piece e-cigs...I remember seeing a youtube video of someone doing this. All they did was popped out the cap of the cartomizer, removed a rubber piece, and then filled it using the ejuice. I'm interested in doing this because I don't want to end up spending maybe $20 a week on cartomizers if they can just be refilled. I also read somewhere that each carto can be refilled 4+ times before the atty goes. It seems much more cost efficient.

Any recommendations on where I should order the e juice and what brand to get. I'm looking to spend about $15 on a 30mL bottle, plus shipping.

Sure enough! I used those dang prefills from the mall for more than a month it was so expensive! I'm so glad I learned to refill! And that I saved all those cartos! Welcome to the world of juice! I recommend maybe buying several smaller bottles until you find what you like, there's SO MANY options! Many vendors offer sampler packs. Enjoy and have fun!

Thank you guys, and Tiesel, those are some really good prices! I think I might consider that site.

So, do I have to clean the cartomizer every time it runs out of juice?

No, only if it starts to taste bad and still works. Don't let them run dry though or you will burn the fiberfill inside.

Another thing, I don't understand the PG/VG ratio, which ratio is popular because I was checking out the mtbakervapor website and they offer different ratios

Start around 50/50 and see what works for you. PG is supposed to give more throat hit and some say better flavor, VG is sweeter and has more vapor.

A lot of people are sensitive to PG so they use 100% VG, or a lower percentage of PG. I can't vape over 30% PG or I get a sore throat.

Is 4+ refills accurate for an average disposable cartomizer? I'll just carry around the juice and top it off, making sure it never goes dry. I can always go on youtube and see how to clean the cartomizer if I don't want to buy new ones too

I was cleaning my cartos using a turkey injector syringe with a piece of hose attached to it to flush the cartos...but SmokTech has a kit set up you can buy.. Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

Hi xNaTe21x and welcome to ECF. The number of refills depends on:
the juice you're vaping- thicker VG based juice and darker juices clog up the carto quicker than high PG and lighter colored juices. With clear juice I get 2+ weeks out of each carto whereas with very dark juices about a week. Realize also the cartos being sold are different sizes- some take 20 drops of juice while other take 60 drops to fill. Make ABSOLUTELY sure you first fill fully saturates the carto otherwise it will either get a burnt taste or the element will burn out. Tanks also save the hassle of having refill but first get the hang of vaping. Understand also the are good tanks and horrible tanks out there. I vape 4 ml per day and need to fill my tank twice per day. 20 drops = 1 ml.
Good Luck.

Not all "first kit cartos" can be refilled by popping the top. Mine had a weird plastic covering in there. You can still refill them. I managed to do it by dripping into the hole on the battery end. If it's an automatic battery and it probably is, let it sit for a bit and blow out any excess. You don't want it dripping into the battery.

This is so true Mickey...I had fun refilling my cartos, but the diningroom table started looking like a lab...so I upgraded to the Echo-E 1300. Now I feel like a Boss!! (And I DIY my ejuice now...so the table still looks like a lab...LOL)

I got something that does the same thing at Wal-Mart for around $2.00. It's in the pharmacy for giving medicine to kids. This isn't the one I got but, it looks like this:

Stick the white doodad on the syringe and shove the carto in the other end. Works great.

I have refilled some a dozen or more times. I have one that has been going for more than three weeks of daily refilling.

Eventually they burn out or start tasting funky. Then I pitch it and grab a new one.

Yep I also bought a few of those and they work great for blowing out water/ juice and for doing the Taryn Spin. Also great for DIY/ measuring juice but have to clearcoat nail polish the outside printing otherwise it washes off from the juice.
