I've used 3 of my 5 pre-filled carts.

They work great until needing a refill.

They work great after refilling 2 or 3 times.

I've cleaned them out by soaking in hot water for 10 minutes,
then blowing them out dry, then baking in the oven for an hour at 300 degrees
then sit and air dry via the instructions somebody suggested.

Once refurbished, it will take about 70 drops.

It seems like the liquid is not wicking to the coil.
The vapor is ok for a little bit then next to nothing. It tastes like liquid
is not quite reaching the core of the filler material. If I top it off it just
leaks through the hole.

I keep hearing how everyone is getting many more refills and excellent
tasty vapor but it's not happening for me.

any suggestions? I really like this pv when it works with a new pre-filled cart but I can't keep throwing out olds ones every other day.

Borjis, you've been around for a long time ... I see your an ECF Veteran so I'm most likely telling you something you already know.

Here's the best advice I can give you.

Quit cleaning the cartos.

Dedicate one carto for each flavor you like to use. I take some of my wifes nail polish and put one dot on the carto and one dot on the cap of the juice bottle for one flavor, two dots for the next, and so on. That way I can keep track of what flavor is in which carto.

Find the juices you like and buy those. Then you can just buy the blank or empty Go Go cartos and put your own juice in them.

I know a lot of people clean cartos, but cartos were never (and still aren't) designed to be cleaned and reused. Their disposable. CigEasy sells the blank Go Go cartos at $13.95 for five of them - that's less than three dollars each. Each one will last you several weeks and that's a lot cheaper than a pack of smokes.

Keep your cartos topped off. It can be a little messy, but you can condom fill these just like any other carto. I prefer to use a syringe because its less mess.

But by doing this and not cleaning them the cartos are lasting me two or three weeks. Try it and see if it works for you.

I'm a vet...but this is my first time with cartos.

I just had another cart stop working well. I began using it monday.
I have topped it off every morning. Just now, it got dry and tastes peppery and bad like
all the others.

What I have noticed is the filler is the same level as the straw in the middle when new.
when they begin to have a problem with wicking ,the filler has sunk down about 3/8 of an inch.
That's when I know I'm stuffed.

I have not been able to keep a carto working good for more than 3 days it seems.

The one I just refilled (til one drop came out) is not wicking like it was yesterday.

If I can't successfully clean them for re use...fine. If i can only get a months use...fine.

but this 3 day only thing is frustrating as hell.

thanks for your suggestions.

My apologies, your original post didn't mention the information you give in your most recent response.

Now I don't know what to tell you. From what is happening, I doubt if even cleaning them is going to help you any and it leaves me wondering if you got a box of duds.

Have you tried PM'ing SSV2 or PocketAces and explaining your problem to them?

I'd sure like to see you enjoying these cartos as much as I am.

borjis, I think its time to PM SSV2 and explain your problem.

Please share what you find out with us as others may encounter the same problem.

Honestly, my problem is just the opposite. I can't wear the danged things out! To quote my buddy 5cardstud, I've been using these cartos so long that they look like I found them laying in an alley.

top vapor "chocolate fudge bavarian cream" and some others with the same viscosity.

One thing I found to momentarily get past the dry vape is to hold the gogo in my right hand, with the
battery end facing the floor, then swinging it in a circle really hard a few times.....some juice gets through, then it dry vapes again a few drags later....it's as if earth's 1g of gravity is not enough once I have filled it a single time.

I'd surely keep using the gogo if I could just get the carts to last at least two weeks.

I emailed frank 2 weeks ago and didn't get a response.

... chocolate fudge bavarian cream

That sounds like it would clog your arteries faster than the coil in the Go-cart.

I only use 100% PG tobacco flavors. I've been able to use the same Go-carts over and over and over. When the performance dies I put them in an ultrasonic cleaner

Amazon.com: Sonic Wave CD-2800 Ultrasonic Jewelry & Eyeglass Cleaner (White/Gray)(package may vary): Jewelry

They're cheaper elsewhere if you Google around.

I fill the cleaner with distilled hot water and run it for 3 cycles (3 minutes per cycle), dump the water, refill and run for 3 more cycles, and dump the water. When I dump the water the second time I try to see if smell any e-liquid aromas. If I do ... another hot water fill up and 3 more 3 minute cleaning cycles.

After that I do the ol' Taryn Spin and set the Go-carts to dry overnight.

I don't boil them because Go-carts are not potatoes. I don't bake them because they're not cookies.

I found when I cleaned vertical coil cartos they could take a more strenuous rinsing. I used a Walgreen's medicine syringe for flushing. Tried it with a Bloog carto and killed it dead. The horizontal coil cartos appear to be more sensitive to invasive cleaning.

So ... gentle ultrasonic cleaning might help dislodge the chocolate fudge bavarian cream gunking up your coil.

On the other hand ...

How long is a $3 disposable item supposed to last anyway?

early in the ego vs go-go thread there is a member that had 3 go-go kits, 3 batteries running all the time. he is a two fisted vaper and the only juice he uses is bavarin fudge creme from mad vapes. after 3 months he was still using the same 3 cartomizers.

he played in a rock and roll band. in the evening when he got home, he would take three batteries off the chargers and put the three he had been using on the chargers.

When he got up the next day he would top of his cartomizers and be ready to go.

I don't think he ever cleaned a cartomizer.

He convinced me that "yes" there is something to this GO-GO system.

His forum name is TDWAVE

Billb i think it was by one of your posts I discovered & ordered that flavor...I like it.
It doesn't taste all that chocolaty to me though....it's more like a greasy donut.

I used to only vape janty chocolate and their grape flavor but their juice is uber expensive.

The coil performance is not the issue at all......the liquid is simply not getting to it.

So the "fix" to the problem is using a paper clip to gently push the filler down. I inserted the paper clip most of the way down on the sides of the cart, then pushed gently on the filler, so it didn't "pack it" too tight.

The filler had contracted after 1-2 refills and was likely just above where it needed to rest on the coil...losing contact with it and it's wicking capability.

I fixed 3 gocarts last night and they all are working well again.
