Refilling Whistle Tip Cartomizers

I picked up a couple of the mega cartomizers for the TW Tornado (eGo) and I'm curious if its going to easier to just remove the two parts blocking the path to the filler and refill with a hypodermic or through the atomizer side itself? There is no real condom that comes on these, more like modified bung plugs.

Everything I have read on these to date indicates that going through the top and using a needle is the only way to go.

There has been some print saying that there is another generation coming that will not need a needle to refill.

That is the reason I have not tried this style yet... Waiting for the bugs to get worked out, as it were.

I'm gonna wait for the next version too. I really like the present Mega Cartomizers with my eGo because they are so easy to refill using the condom method. I looked at the diagrams for these new "Mega-Mega" eGo Cartomizers, but the refill method looks too cumbersome. And I'm not a real big fan of whistle tip mouthpieces....

Well, after reading the replies I took a plunge and decided to give it a go. Refilling from the mouthpiece side seemed a little too troublesome so I used an 18 gauge hypodermic needle with the needle point ground down flat and went in through the atomizer itself.

Not wanting destroy any unseen ceramic cup or the bridge itself, I angled it slightly to the edge and once I encountered the first obstruction I slowly pumped in 1.5 ml of e-liquid. A few experimental puffs and SUCCESS!

I marked the needle where the obstruction was as well as noting which direction I had angled so that I could do it the same way next time.
