Changed OK. I don't know what to say.

IDK what 100K image you used classy. That WOULD shrink it way down. However, the other ones I posted are < 5kb and <10 kb and both should have worked. Then there's all your other avi's that used to work. So..........IDK.

That's interesting... Because all of my avis are sized 200 x 200 in my picture library--I use Paint to add text and resize. How odd... They all read 200 x 200, but when I hit on my avi here, the properties show 180 x 180.

Sounds like they need to check the database record for you.....

I do know that if the file exceeds the size limits (in bytes) that it will shrink the size (in area) or quality until it fits. So I think it....
1) Changes size to 200x200 (or 150x510 for me)
2) If still too large in bytes, shrinks it (by reducing quality and/or size) until it fits in the size limits.

but if your limits are messed up... they are messed up. Database fix. Maybe admins can edit ?

OK. So ECF held up it's end and dug into performance problems. Maybe we should do the same now. I raise the question again about closing the PVT thread and opening a new one for speed. We have a break between turnings for now. It's a good time.......

I haven't been on enough for the past couple of days to know whether there is still a lag in PVT....

the forum has been zooming right along though YAY!

Well, the forum is zooming fairly well. I do notice a bit of a lag when we go back a few pages when reviewing the PVT ...like when reading back. Also, this post was in the site-feedback area when people were complaining about 504's and such:

One point is that this is an attempt to open a specific post in a monster thread. It takes 20 seconds for me to open that, and every other (normal) page on the site is much faster (4 seconds max). If I go to the thread for example it is much faster:

Some people have said that giant threads make no difference, this is certainly not true if you want to go to a specific point in the thread.

We have asked if we can split some of these threads but the owners said no. That being the case you may have to put up with slow load times. Not sure if we have asked GV about this thread though.

Bolding added. Anyway, that was pre-fix. Still, a little lag though. I don't think that changing it once or twice per year is a bad thing. Easy to do. It's just a pain for everyone to update their bookmarks, sig links and subscriptions.
