and a good one ;) maybe people have changed and that sticky will catch their eye ;)

but the main problem remains - the thread thrived because of location and whiskey. we've lost both. there is not one of us who has the time necessary to keep the thread interesting. just imagine yourself as a prevet stopping by ...... the fun has gone. it was tough getting over the loss of whiskey but we were hanging on. being moved finished us off ....

Well, that was the plan, wasn't it? Mission accomplished. :toast:

Heya gang! Just a flyby; I'll be back later tonight to help with the turning, as promised, if nobody else is there.

Miss you...

Thanks Classy for removing the tags.

just a fast pit stop before i head back to town to check on kitty .....

continuation into 2013, to me, is pointless, not at our present location and/or participation; there is just too much work involved to carry on, especially with the way our thread was treated by management.
and contrary to quite a few posts and pms, i firmly believe this thread was an asset to ecf in the general forum. i will always be able to look back and know that hundreds of members appreciated our effort. turning vet is a big mile stone and we're not the only ones feeling that way. how else could j0ker have secured such outstanding vendor support for his yearlong contest? but all that is neither here nor there anymore - ecf, for whatever reason, declared our efforts to be fit for the lounge only and with that move changed my feelings for this forum drastically. i am no longer proud to be a supporting member.

(((hugs)))

and can i put you to work, atty? ;) we need to find somebody to explain to mikee3 how a welcome thread is set up. having pictures in there without any text doesn't look all that great. i just don't know if an explanation might be taken the wrong way especially coming from somebody else than a guy.
i'm grateful janet and he are participating and don't want to discourage him. what do y'all think? explanation or let it slide?

didn't see your edit, atty! remember, i navigate with ''my posts'' i can spot a new post in a heart beat but edits don't register ...

look at charliegirl's thread but it has happened in other threads too.

you know when our team posts how we combine multiple pictures in one congratulatory post? single pics without text are posted in pvt. well, being a newcomer, mike is applying that pattern to the actual welcome threads. it probably doesn't make a bit of difference anymore but, imo, it interrupts the flow of the thread .............. take a look, lmk what you think
but it's no biggie either way

OH!!!!!!! THAT!!!!!!

When you said "How a welcome thread is setup" I thought you meant...thread starter rules. lol.

Sorry.

I noticed it before. Yeah. On the one hand....it was a bit "much". But since we only have about 3 months left...meh. Lemme think about how to phrase that one....if I even bother.

Anyone heard from Cookster (or Pita...even though he won't be here) about themes?

Haven't heard back from pita about a theme. He is just finishing up his Chinese DiD co-op and will most likely start up a co-op on a new Chinese rebuildable tank that I found, so I'll pester him another time or two and if no response, we'll go with a general Welcome and Congrats.
