i don't think too many of our prevets have ventured to the new location. and tweety is right, to be put together with the ''funy pics'' and ''music thread'' is an insult to all we have tried to do

Well, I'm not sure I want to make it too immediately obvious since I'm a bit ticked. However the question Dusty is asking is logical, if not uninformed.
Are we simply offended, or are we worried that moving it will have an effect? If only offended, it's our problem not their error (other than delivery. It would have ended the same.) However, if we think it will have an effect.....it's justifiable to not only be ticked but to ask ourselves "what shall we do?"

I wouldn't have been happy with the move in any case, but a little warning with an explanation would have made a difference.
Especially when Katya makes the time to be there for a turning when she's dealing with recovering from eye surgery and complications. people go above and beyond. At least we know that what we do counts... (unless i should be using the past tense)

i'm offended, atty - we worked hard and i really thought our spot in general was deserved. we accepted any and all who found us and tried our best for each one of them

Remember....it's still about the pre-vets not the "office politics". That's what classy was trying to say 1st. However, if the pre-vets don't find us.... what's the diff?
IDK forum traffic, but I'd guess that "General" was a lot higher volume visitation-wise than "The Lounge". And we were just discussing recruits to help out more.

Atty, this is not about the location--there are many chat threads all over the forum that have not been moved to the lounge, not to mention all those word game threads...
And even if there was an urgent reason to move the thread, somebody should have come to this thread and at least let us know in advance--if only to avoid another drama in an open forum. Too many pictures? We could have dealt with that; we have tried in the past. We could have set a limit on how many pictures are allowed per poster. We could have eliminated the pictures altogether from the thread and post more in welcome threads. Too much chat? We could have limited the chat ourselves if we were asked to do so. It's not a new problem, as you all know. PVT had 3 1/2 more months to live. It would have died quietly and peacefully on December 31.

We've completely lost Katya? and we're losing you too. 
this is not going well. I want to hang in for the people who are currently on the list. I don't want to punish them for the actions of others...but it is difficult for me to be around a lot, even without all this.
We may want to think about updating the list to let people know that we won't have coverage for late night turnings. alternatively, thread starters can email to give the turnee the option of rescheduling.

i will post in the welcome threads on the list and possibly attend turnings if i happen to be online. i will not do all the work required for pvt to run smoothly as long as we've been classified ''off-topic'' and ''chit-chat''

This is what did it for me, kids. I'm really sorry. A clique? Forum fame and glory??? Post count? If they are looking for post count fiends they should look elsewhere.
As I said, insults to injury. I can deal, and always have, with injuries--but not with insults. We didn't deserve this. I didn't deserve this. I don't need this in my life. I tried to do something good here. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess.
Atty, there will be plenty of help for late turnings, methinks.
