Regular unupdated ithaka without NR?? is it possible?

Hi everybody..I just moved to rebuildable atomizers and I am expecting to receive my first Ithaka clone from focalecig tomorrow (fingers crossed) along with a kayfun 3.1 a KFL and an Atty v2. I know that Ithakas require an NR-R-NR coil..but is there anyway to get around this and use a regular kanthal wire? (I have 32, 28, 30 and a ribbon). I am not really into cloud chasing or subohming, I just wanna enjoy a good vape and a good flavor and that's why I moved to rebuildables...and I don't think the Ithaka clone I ordered is updated. Any suggestions?
