Regulated mod for Atlantis or Subtank?

I currently have both the Atlantis and Subtank and fire both on a Cloupor ZNA 50. While I have other tanks and batteries for backups, it dawned on me that should my ZNA clone go south on me, I have nothing to fire either sub-ohm tank. So I am looking at another regulated mod for either primary use or backup. To be clear, I do not build coils or re-wick, nor do I ever expect to.

I have looked at a couple options that seem to be good choices, the Aspire CF mod and Segelei 100 plus. I am leaning towards the Segelei for longer battery life (2 18650) and adjustability while the CF mod looks like it will fire at battery ability only. I am currently rotating 4 Samsung 25R 18650 batteries, so staying with something to make use of those would probably be beneficial. So any input on these choices or something I have overlooked would be greatly appreciated.

Should I opt for the Segelei 100 plus or something comparable and having read about the need to pair the batteries, would I need to start with new batteries since my existing Sammy's have already been individually used and charged?

I run my subtanks on a segelei 100 plus, and ipv2 and an Ipv mini. The mini is my go to right now because it's so nice in my hand. The seg is great because the batteries last so long. Yes you will want 2 new matched batteries for the seg. But with the Ipv mini, the Subtank and Atlantis look really good on it and changing batteries is a snap. I would say get the mini, with 2 batteries.

The choice is really up to you as far as personal preference but honestly my preference is the sigelei for battery life and I do not mind the size of it at all although some people hate dual battery mods for size I prefer it. I would always go with regulated over mechanical unless you are cloud chasing with an RDA because with the regulated you will get the same hit the entire duration of the batteries whereas with mechanical devices the hit will get progressively weaker until the battery completely dies which if you go too far with your batteries on a mechanical you can degrade your batteries through running them too low and with regulated it won't let you do that it will simply tell you weak battery and then you just change...but again, this is all personal preference

The Sigelei 100+ is a good choice, most people would get several days on a charge, I get 2-3 personally. If funds are tight you can use your existing 25Rs and just buy a new matched set when you have a chance, won't harm the mod any and your batteries won't spontaneously combust because they weren't matched.

Phild0: I took a look at the Ipv mini and looks nice, but I was taken back a bit at the 30W max since I go up to 35 at times.

I like the looks of my subtank on the ZNA, so would most likely normally use whatever I get with the Atlantis. It may be a while before I can get to a vape shop, but would like to put the Sigelei 100 plus in my hand to get the feel of it. I don't have much of a problem with mobility since the bulk of my time is spent at home in front of my computer and tv. Retirement is great!

I am not sure if being OCD about rotating your "married" set is necessary (as I no longer do it and rely on the theory of randomness for the insertion side rotation) BUT a "married" set is necessary and new is NEEDED to insure they are at exactly the same use whilst using them in your device (especially since these batteries are stacked in this device and NOT parallel)

Is that a problem using the Intellicharger I4 since it charges the batteries "independently"? Money is not a serious concern, but want to be prepared for all possibilities. The Sigelei, at least 2 batteries (4 preferable), and a charger......cha ching. Vape Budget maxed!

Well' the Segelei 100 plus does come with a very nice silicone cover that protects the box and makes it very comfortable to hold also. I just had to get used to taking it off and putting it on every couple of days to charge the batts. Also, the battery door is magnetic, not screws, another huge plus.

The intellicharger i4 is fine for charging them, just use bay1 and bay3 accordingly to charge them at same rate and when they both say fully charged you are ready to go (at least bays1 and 4 3 are what I have to use in my digicharger d4 so it should be the same for the i4 since theyre both made by nitecore and the only difference is the digital screen on mine instead of blinking or solid lights on yours) and a cheap place for batteries is Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More! I think their samsung 25r batteries (which I recommend) are only 6.80 a piece, so four would only be just under 28.00 dollars, give me a sec and I will post a direct link to those batteries...

Ugh...Illumn is out of those but here is the link...18650 Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh High Discharge FLAT Top but they do have these (also recommended) the LG HE2 in stock here...18650 LG 18650HE2 2500mAh High Discharge Flat Top although these ones are 7.50 a piece it would only bring up your price by a couple bucks so four for 30.00 bucks still isn't bad

With the batteries in series the mod will draw from 1 cell more than the other so I would not expect both cells to have identical voltages while in use anyway. When I recharge my batteries I use a single cell charger and 1 takes slightly longer than the other to charge.

True, but I think that is why some people recommend rotation the insertion side of the battery to guarantee equal stress to both batteries, I do not and honestly just through randomness insert them now with no problems for a over a month lol
