Regulated mods

I was just wondering, if regulated mods are supposed to regulate battery voltage then how is a 20amp battery different from a 30amp battery in a regulated mod? Thnx

Regulated mods still allow for very low builds, if your build is pulling more amps than the battery can handle it will become hot and could vent, not even a regulated mod can help there. There are safer to a degree but you still a battery capable of a staying within the recommended A rating.

Your question is not quite clear to me ..... A regulated mod is going to regulate the voltage (and therefor the current) that travels through the coil no matter what amperage rating your battery has...... The amperage rating of a battery is only an approximation of the maximum amount of electron flow (current) that the battery can deliver to a load (coil)..... A regulated mod "tries" to keep the current through the coil at a constant amount as the battery drains..... Without a mod being regulated, then as the battery drains, the current will reduce through the coil and this will in turn cause the vapor production to decrease...... With a regulated mod the vapor will remain fairly constant as the battery drains because the regulated mod will try to keep the current and voltage at a constant level..

lol ... no, I am not following you (well maybe a little ) ...... maybe you are just sensing my over 20 years in the electronics field showing itself.... Oh and all of my college years......... But, I try to keep my explanations clear enough for people who may not know about electricity/electronics....... I do not know if I do good enough of a job explaining but at least I try
