If this is addressed in another place please excuse. I did search a lot but could not really find the answer.
I have tried re-filling cartridges, topping off etc. It just seems to me that you will never be able to get the 10-12 drop worth of good hits by using a cartride. I've used poly, tea bags, etc. When I drip, I can use three drops and get enough vape to make me think I just had a smoke.
Is there something I am missing using carts? Just seems to be a waste of good juice to me IMHO.

I've been using a combination of dripping and topping off. I have found that the vapor production on a cart drops off after 5-10 drags. I have started dripping 2-3 drops on the atty and a few in the cart until the poly is full. Then I use a paper clip to pull the poly up to the top of the cart so it contacts the porous metal bridge and add one more drop to make it wet. Then puff until the vapor level drops off. If you are using too many drops on the atty, you will find the excess runs out or gets sucked through so play with the formula until it works for you. Basically I think the strait cart method is un-satisfying. I have tried the straw mod and although it helps with the cart filling, I didn't notice any difference in the draw or cart longevity. I think a key to atty life is not to run the atty dry so the e-liquid carbonizes on the filament and also not to run the atty hot by excessively long draws. If you use the drip/topping method I describe, you can get a good hit in about 4-5 seconds

Invest in an 'Edobit' - they are uber cheap, you fill it with fluid, it is like carrying around a ballpoint pen filled with fluid. when your vapor tapers off, you take the cap off your Edobit, take your cap of your atty, press the 'pad' to your atty, count to 5, put the cap back on and start vaping. Works great I just got mine. :)

It's an option anyway. I am REALLLLLLLLLLLY likin this for my atty ciggie.

Take care,
- Hap

I dripped exclusively for a while, but it got to be a pain - plus I always had to have the bottle nearby.

I just finally mastered the straw modification. If you get it right, you put in 10 drops and you USE 10 drops. I've been using it all day and I started with 10 drops in a fresh cart. Everytime I've refilled, it took in another full 10 drops. So, if you do the mod right, using a cart can still be easier than dripping. Especially if you're on the go.

I also pull the filler to top so its as close to atomizer as possible. Possibly even touching it.... The only way I have got Cartridges to work for me is to fill to brim with juice - then push filler down with a toothpick to absorb all liquid - then pull filler back up a little bit past the top of cartridge - then add a few more drops - then push cartridge onto atomizer with a little bit of filler sticking out....

This usually gets me roughly 3 cigarettes worth, as dripping gets me 1 cigarettes worth...

Also when a Cartridge seems to be getting weak , or a burnt taste - I blow into it & shake the ECIG downwards a few time wich is imitating packing a cigarette (don't actually bang it)... This gets liquid back to the top of cartridge & I get good hits again....

I take the finger grip off of a ink pen. Slide it onto the 510 atomizer, and then take the metal part at the end of a pen and side it into the rubber.

That way when you drip you don't have to take the cap on and off of the atomizer. You just drip right into the opening of the rubber.

It stops melted carts, and ends a lot of frustration with dripping.

Thanks, I will check out the mods and other suggestions. I can get 5-6 good hits from a three drop drip and then put it down unitil the feeling hits me again. Yes, it is a pain to have to keep your bottle close and it's not good at all while driving.....

Speaking of driving... can anyone tell me the best way to vape while driving? I have a 50 minute drive (one way) to work and I smoke 2 to 4 analogs while driving to work (and the same on the way back, of course!).

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated - I can give up analogs completely when I find out what to do.

Spare batteries and atomizers take 2 or 3 ready made up e cigs with you problem solved

Thanks! I'll give it a try on the way home today.

This morning, I had one analog and after that I held my ecig and took a drag every now and then. I've got about a half a pack of analogs left and hopefully I won't be buying anymore.
