Hi,
I've been vaping for just over 3 months now and I'm very pleased with the results. I managed to totally quit smoking on day one with no relapses.
I started with a cheap starter kit from a high street shop and after numerous problems including the plastic tank cracking and coils burning out too quickly I've just bought a replacement. A Kanger EVOD mega. The problem is it seems to be leaking slightly so I will return it to the shop tomorrow.
The advice I'm after is basically a good, reliable product I can buy and use out of the box (I'm baffled by all the modding, variable voltage and terminology, though I'm sure I will pick it up!)
In terms of how I vape - I use it fairly continously on days off but if I'm working it will be for quick 5 minute cigarette breaks a few times a day. At this stage I would just like some straight forward advice (with minimal technical terminology) and I thought it best to come somewhere like here than trust the "reviews" Google returned to me. I live in the UK if that has any baring on anything.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to ECF!

There is also Fasttech. China company with good prices and selection. Shipping can take awhile. I just bought a few things and received them in 10 days. I paid for epacket shipping which helps reduce the wait.

Many members here like the iStick 30w/Nautilus mini combo. About $50-$60 total.

Wouldn't argue with the advice you've gotten so far.

I would second the suggestion that you check out FastTech, although you might get overwhelmed by the thousands (literally) of vaping products they have. It's also a great site to investigate some hardware (particularly heads) that you're considering buying, because they do a great job taking multiple pictures of stuff so you can figure out how things work. Even if you're planning on buying elsewhere. Would repeat that shipping does take a while!!

I would recommend that you try these heads as well:
$10.88 H2 Bottom Coil Clearomizers (10-Pack / 2.0mL) 10-pack - 2.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These are the best "simple" heads I've found. They're not high-power, (About 6-8 watts is their sweet spot) and won't produce massive clouds or anything, but they give a good clean taste, and are cheap enough that you can consider them disposables (about $1 each if you buy 10 or more). These are what I start out all my newbies on; simple, inexpensive, and good performers.

Even if you're looking for something higher-end, it's not a bad idea to have a few of these in your drawer as backups (or when somebody wants to "try" your vape!)

ETA: When I said "literally thousands" I guess I should have said "tens of thousands", they're at about 39,000 vaping products at the moment.......

First off, WELCOME!!!! And congrats on giving up the cancer sticks!

I would recommend the Kanger Subox. Everything you need in one box. Just add batteries, and juice. I find that its good for beginners and intermediate vapers. It has very easy to read instructions that explain recommended settings for specific coils. They even put those recommendations on the coils themselves.
There are plenty of pre-built coils you can use, and when you feel ready, they include a rebuildable section as well.

Its kinda like the "Honda Civic" of ecigs. Lots of options, but still a very basic, very easy to use device. Check it out!

By the way, I do recommend FastTech a lot, but I also buy lots of stuff from them (not all vaping related). One thing that FastTech is known for is that if they say something is "authentic" it is.

So these are authentic heads from joytech (rebuildable):
$9.92 Authentic Joyetech eGo ONE CLR Coil Head (5-Pack) - 1ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

These are clones (and these particular ones aren't rebuildable):
$5.35 Replacement Coil Head for Joyetech eGo ONE (5-Pack) - 1ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Welcome to ECF, by the way!
