I'm looking into ordering my first carto tank. Been using the mini vivi for a couple months now and I love it, but from other peoples reviews and praise, I would like to try a tank with my boge cartos. Where can I find a good cheap punch that will cleanly punch the carto without distorting the shape? I see some people even use a dremel tool, is that also a good method? . I would think the dremel would leave rough/sharp edges in which could cause harm to the o rings on the tank. Please help a noob! Lol

I'm thinking about order a tank from ibtanked, just a cheap clear glass tank to start with, but it's like $30 all together for tank and caps. Is there another tank anyone recommend that is quality, reliable, and cheap?

I have three of those tanks, and am expecting two more this week in the mail. You can't do better than the IBTanked for a quality, inexpensive pyrex tank. A word of caution. If you use any juices that use cinnamon or citrus flavors, get the stainless steel endcaps instead of the cheaper acrylic caps. A friend was using a one of those juices ("Red Hot Candy Cane" from Vixen Vapors) and it melted the acrylic.

As for a carto punch tool, I own a Siam Mods punch tool. I honestly am disappointed in it. My cartos get deformed out of round. I tried a dremmel tool to slot and the carto flooded.

I've bit the bullet and bought pre-drilled cartos from vendors. The one hole works well for 50pg/50vg and the two hole for anything with more vg.

I second what baditude said about the IB Tank. I got a saphire blue with 2 sets of acrylic blue caps. (my own bad, i didn't know they came in matched sets.). Right after I got it I ordered 2 more. One 19mm and a 25mm both standard. I've never tried to punch a tank yet so I just ordered some from electronicstik.com I believe it was along with a couple of cherry vape drip tips. Deffinetly gonna get some more of the cherry vape ceramic drip tips. I really do like them.

If you like the Cherry Vape ming style, try one of the Knucklehead tips. They can swivel 45 degrees like a ball joint. Can really make a difference for a comfortable vape, probably my favorite tip at the moment and I have collected scores of tips over the past few months.

For a multi-colored variation on the knuckleheads, there are the Blaster tips:

Not to sure about those right now. Knowing me I'll probably get one though.

your search is over:

SmokTECH DCT Cartomizer Punch

superb price. no deforming. just pure hole punchiness. if you make the hole too large, it can deform the carto, but ive not had any issues using this punch with my IBTanked tanks, and i make pretty large holes. 2 of them in fact.

I tried to drip in the knucklhead, and the juice stuck in the ball part. Every time you move it around, juice gets all over it. For just a tip I love it, but I won't use it to drip again.

agreed. dripping with the knucklehead/rotary drip tip is an excercise in futility. it does however provice excellent guard against hot splashes that some of my atties like to produce.

great price on a knucklehead:
Plastic Drip Tip
but be warned: my rotary drip tip took a good few ml to break in. the plastic taste when new was almost unbearable. it faded over tiem and over use to nothing, but when it was new i almost had to soak it in eliquid to remove the gnarly plastic taste and smell.

i also recommend one of these, or perhaps a slap yo mama.
