Good Evening Everyone, wanted to see other opinions on the REMatty but didn't see a thread in this section. Just got mine a few days ago

and was able to throw in a build tonight. Hah, throw in a build (yeah). I attempted a dual Clapton build (28 gauge kanthal core, 38 gauge nichrome wrapped, 2.4mm ID, 5/4 wraps) thinking I'd just toss it in with some wispy cotton shoots and suck down the flavor. Well I did. Sucked the juice right up my modhole. This was after 15 mins of wire play, getting frustrated at the slant slits in the negative posts posing as post holes, the wire not staying in said post slits and a quick YouTube build vid on said rda. Remember, the easy way is a right angle a few mm down the leg (from the coil) going into the neg post.
After a frustrating build, suckin juice into my mouth and burning my tongue, I was not **speaking highly** of REM creations. I love the REMentry and had high hopes. I was also expecting to do a semi think-less build, in a hurry. Wrong.
I built my coils too high and close to the posi post. Also, not sure if claptons are the way to go here unless built farther out, closer the the deck walls.
Outed the claptons, replaced with 26 kanthal (5/4 wraps same ID).

I made my right angles slightly more down the legs than before and sit the coil just beside the wall.
Night and Day. Flavor is awesome, airflow is superb the clouds are aces. I did build to .25 but mana live , just wonderful. And now fun.
Would love to hear other opinions, positive or negative, and see some different builds. Watcha got peoples?

The way I build the REMatty makes it a snap. No funky bends needed. Thread a lead through the center post with the negative lead up in the air above the positive post (looking a bit like a vertical coil). Remove the coil from the mandrel. Rotate the coil so the positive has an over wrap and the negative gets the under wrap. As you rotate the coil to horizontal the negative lead should enter the negative post from the side and slide right into place.

Thanks @Verb , probably will order soon. When I had those claptons in, the atty got way too hot after a few vapes.

Also, thanks for the tip: "Thread a lead through the center post with the negative lead up in the air above the positive post (looking a bit like a vertical coil). Remove the coil from the mandrel. Rotate the coil so the positive has an over wrap and the negative gets the under wrap. As you rotate the coil to horizontal the negative lead should enter the negative post from the side and slide right into place."
I saw a TwistedMesses build vid a while back where he recommended coil builds with the over wrap at the neg post to help wicking. Been doing that ever since. Will try your recommendation on the next build.
