Heh, not easily. I just cut open a 510 batt to get the connector out. I first used very sharp wire cutters to score a groove about halfway between the button and the connector. I then used a metal file to deepen the groove till i could tear it apart. I pulled off the led cover, cut the area around the button (so the button would push out) and pushed the guts out the front. I then used the wire cutters to tear the metal case off of the connector. It was not an easy job.

I had one of my manual batteries die on my 510. I removed the LED and battery with tweezers, and I want to make a passthrough out of it. Is there any way to get the connector out of the metal tube without cutting it out?
Still not easy and you do need to cut.
I use a dremmel style tool and a cutoff wheel and cut about a 45 deg line from the connector (not too deep their) to about 1 inch down. Then using needle nose pliers and a screwdriver(not the pv one haha) I pry apart the case and pull the connector out sometimes shorting the batt and it stinks!
Good luck

When I actually have to cut a battery or atomizer apart to get the connector, I just dremel all the way through starting about 1/2 down, and then take off just a bit of metal a time from the final 1/2 inch. After its *almost* through, I pry apart the shell with a screwdriver, and if necessary dremel my channel a bit deeper where the actual connector is.
It takes a bit of finesse, but you'll get your connectors out in about a minute completely unscathed every time.
