Just wanted to know if anyone has any tips on how to remove the earth magnets on a REO Grand

Try heating the magnet with a soldering iron.
If it is anodized you could use acetone or fingernail polish remover. But NOT on powder coats.
Tap the door, magnet down on the side of a bowl. See if it pops out into the bowl.

I had a magnet on my door just pop off when my Reo was 2 weeks old, and just the other day one in the body itself did the same thing. All under normal, gentle fingertip sliding use. Never dropped or even tipped over. Pristine. Weird
I super glued them back in place, but the tolerances are so fine that they never sat right again.
I've had an elastic band holding the door on ever since.....
I believe that's what they call "character"

I have heard that if you don't get every little bit of the super glue off the magnet and in the hole, they will not sit right. Just a thought.

Out of curiosity, why are you removing magnets?
Just wanted to try something temporary with the magnets....maybe, just getting bored waiting for those Woodvils.

Actually, I like the magnets for the sliding door security, just wanted to use the magnets for something temporary.
He wanted to simultaneously inhale them, one in each nostril, and see if they ever came out again, and where; and, if so, seperately, or paired.

Josh If ya lay door on flat soft surface with say a couple pieces of paper under it just for a little pad not too much or it will cause problems use a flat headed punch and give magnet a gentle tap it will set it most likely
and yes as Rob said a gentle bend to the door will hold it I had one like that for 6+ months with no magnets
My first magnet install produced a fit that was slightly lifted. The door was very difficult to install and the protruding magnet scratched the points of interface with the mod.
I got a fine grit black sanding block and sanded it until it slid on and off like a warm fork thru butter. Cosmetically it is not as beautiful as it was but you can't see it anyway unless you pull the door off and look at the back of the door

This never even crossed my mind to do.I bend my doors just to make them tighter
you just bend the door over something round, just slightly, in, towards the mod. So when installed, it is bowed slightly , outwards?

The Good: I finally got my second REO! Now I have color options for the doors!
The Bad: Each REO is polarized differently and the opposite doors repel off each other
So I think my only option is to flip all 4 magnets on one of the REOs, I've read a lot about people replacing the door magnet but havn't heard much about the ones in the actual Grand. I assume its the same method. One of the REO's is a wrinkle finish with a smooth metalic red door, and the other is all smooth white. Are both of these alright to use acetone on, or will that damage the finish/paint?
