Thanks pdib! It's so great to learn from others experiences before I just get impulsive and ruin things (I have a habit of that). Since I'm not in any time constraint because this is purely for aesthetic purposes, the easiest method will probably be to buy 4 (or 6 just incase) replacement magnets from Rob and use the soldering iron and a block of wood method to remove the existing ones.

Here's my situation:

The Good: I finally got my second REO! Now I have color options for the doors!

The Bad: Each REO is polarized differently and the opposite doors repel off each other

So I think my only option is to flip all 4 magnets on one of the REOs, I've read a lot about people replacing the door magnet but havn't heard much about the ones in the actual Grand. I assume its the same method. One of the REO's is a wrinkle finish with a smooth metalic red door, and the other is all smooth white. Are both of these alright to use acetone on, or will that damage the finish/paint?

You really should PM Robert about the magnets.

He knows people switch doors and had been putting the magnets all in the same way so that was possible.

He would want to know yours are different.

I was planning to PM him just to let him know, but seeing as its turkey day I will wait till the weekend. The REO i got a couple months ago seems to be a red headed step child compared to all the photos I've seen on here. It works flawlessly but there were minor things, such as one of the post's had a really tiny hole high up on the post (due to his supplier), the magnets are opposite, and the air hole faces the button (this is how I prefer it). Rob has been so kind as to give me replacement posts (AND drilled them out for me!) and he worked with getting me specific o-rings so I can get the air hole where I like it with out leaks. I am positive he would do everything he can to help me out with the magnets, he really goes above and beyond. Honestly, I don't mind messing around with the REO, and I am more than willing to do the work myself, ecigs have become my hobby, but with the REO I never seem to have much to do, it just works... all the time. :vapor:
