Hi everyone. Love the info here. I am currently using a Joye 510 and had a question about removing the wick under the bridge in the atty. I do use carts with my atty still. Is this something I should only do if dripping?
I can confirm that this works great for dripping, though be careful, it's kinda ruined carts/cartos for me, I can stand them now they all have an odd taste. I'd advise also removing the bridge.
I yank the bridge and wick from all my attys as soon as I get them. They last longer because there is less build-up on the coil. Once yanked, you can only use them for dripping. Do not even try to use a cart because you have removed everything that the atty uses to wick the juice from the poly-fill.
I have removed the wick threads from under the bridge but I leave the bridge in there. I usually take some of the fiber fill from a cartridge (about 1/3) and place it over the bridge.. then I use tweezers or a tooth pick and tuck it up under the bridge so the fluid can get to the coil. this way I can take the fill out wash it off dry it inspect the atty and then replace it.. I find that a bit of fill stretched over the bridge works really well for dripping and OK for carts. I can put about 4-6 drops on the clean fill and then dropa few drops when it starts to get dry. I drop like filling carts. I put 2-4 drops in the atty on top of the fiber until it looks wet but not pooling. This makes for good vapor production.
