I do it all of the time. You can buy adhesive remover in home improvement stores but I generally just use Goof -Off,,,a drop and the adhesive is gone....rubbing alcohol works too it just takes a little more elbow grease...use a terry type towel or washcloth,,,they are abrasive enough to remove the sticker glue,

Excellent. Thanks very much for your help!

I use "Goo Gone", which you can find at most grocery and department stores. However, after pulling it off I thought I would have a cool looking stainless carto. But it looks like I would have to run them through a buffing wheel to get them to really shine. I did this to about 3 dozen so far and I've just ordered some sheets of colored vinyl labels to relabel them with color coding. These label can be run through a ink jet or laser printer.

I use some very nasty automotive paint stripper that comes in an aerosol can. It immediately starts to bubble when it comes in contact with the adhesive and it all wipes off clean. Any residue is easily cleaned up with water and I've never managed to get any inside the carto.

After the gunk is off I screw it into an old 510 battery and put it in my cordless drill. A short spin wrapped in steel wool and it has a beautiful new brushed satin look.

I gave up on peeling stickers off cartos long ago. Now I just buy stainless steel finish (SR & LR) from PureSmoker for $1.49 each:

1 x Boge 510 Cartomizer (Sold Individually)

Available In:
Low Resistance: 1.9 - 2.1 ohms (Best at 3.7v or below) [Should not be used on High Voltage Devices]
Standard Resistance: 2.9 - 3.1 ohms (Good at most all voltages)

No worry about getting Goo-Gone in the filler or waiting for the chemical smell to dissipate.

IkenVape (although their site seems to be down at the moment) also offers LR & HV "polished chrome" cartos & atties. A little more expensive but very nice looking with exceptional performance.

IkenVape LR Mega 510 are my favorite cartomizers for my 3.7V PVs. Unfortunately, those only come with the black stickers. So to make them look nice on my P10 I remove the sticker. I would love if he had them in silver.

Where do you get the vinyl labels?
