Jeepers are just like reonauts. We are very passionate about our rigs! Doesn't surprise me to see jeep folks owning reos. They are cut from the same cloth. Both are simple yet durable machines that are the best at what they do. Sorry I digress.

True Statement... lots of hobbies keeps the brain stimulated.

And they both empty the wallet, jeeps a little faster. :D

A quick update. I am really enjoying the reo thus far. Got lucky on first build on cyclone and nailed my sweet spot at .9 ohm with 8 wrap 26g on 2mm mandrel with rayon.

First two builds on rm2 weren't all that great. First one was 8 wrap of 28 on 2mm with rayon at 1.4 ohm. Good flavor but light on vapor.

Second build on rm2 I decided to try out ready x wick. I did a 8 wrap 28g ugly coil on 1/16 and threaded 2mm ready wick in. Was good performance but was only getting one good hit per squonk. Maybe tails a bit too short.

Next build on rm2 I duplicated cyclone build to compare attys. I was leaning towards liking the cyclone better at first but now it's a tie. [emoji57]

I am looking for suggestions on a build to try in the rm2 that will kinda set it apart from the cyclone a little. I have 24,26, and 28g kanthal and rayon and 2mm and 3 mm ready x wick to work with.

All my builds were done in what I like to call super x style. To give props to the man whose videos taught me coil placement and wicking tricks that vastly improved my builds even before I became a reonaut.

With the ugly coil it's important to make sure you don't have a hot leg. Every once in a while I'd get a build that would not perform up to par and would give me a dry hit quickly. After closer inspection I've found that those had a hot leg.

With a .9 ohm, 1/16 ugly coil and readyXwick I get three hits per squonk. If I push it to take long 7 second hits I only get two.

Make sure when you squonk that the juice is coming up and covering the coil and wick. Remove the drip tip and watch it through the hole. For me this a 3 second press and hold on a full bottle and 5 or more as the bottle gets to 1/2 full and lower.

Pretty sure I didn't have hot leg but I do take long hits 5 sec plus and iirc that build was 1.4 ohm. Maybe I will try an 8 wrap of 26g with longer tails and see how that works. I want to give this ready x wick a fair chance. I also wanna try out the 3 mm. My squonks are getting better with practice. Super x video yesterday had some great tips. I have been using the glimmer in the air hole method. I'm finding though it takes me really long squonks (10 sec or more) on rm2 with less than half bottle.
