After a bit of browsing I've not found a post addressing this, though I'm sure it's been discussed. I've owned a Reo for awhile and I'm rather experienced in building. My challenge is no matter how I build/ wick (Im a cotton wicker) I do not get a satisfying vape from sqounking. If I place a couple drops on top of the coil it's fantastic. I've got 50/50 liquid loaded, Using a rm2 and to be clear I do not get dry hits so I know I'm not choking it up. So if anyone knows a link addressing this or has some good pics that'd be great. This is the current build being twisted 28g 6/7 wrap around a 3/32 bit around .6 ohm sense I've got the older contacts that limit at .5 ohm. image.jpg

Can't see the pic.. too small.

If adding drops to the top of the coil is better then the obvious is too much wick that's too thick to allow enough juice to the full coil. The center of the coil is prob cooking the wick.

Try thinner wick. You should be abke to pull the wick threw the coil without much resistance at all when you wick it. After thst the cotton will swell up.

I had a similar issue when building with a parallel coil. Once I went to a simple, single coil build, the problem resolved.

28g, 2.5mm bit, 6 wraps and it's a whole new world.

I like 2.5mm coils as well! Great flavor and more fatter wick for big hits.

I think it's on the correct side of the posts....the air hole would be on the far left, sorta around the corner...so it's behind that big hump of wick on the left side of the picture. Also, it's important where the air hole ends up in relationship to how you hold your REO to vape. The air hole in the cap needs to be right in front of the wick, then the whole atty needs to be situated so that the air hole is up when you vape. Anywhere between 10 -2 o'clock.

Way too much cotton. Cut it in half, at least, I'd say. And you don't really need tails. I trim my wick about 1-2 mm beyond the coil on each side. It just barely touches the base of the atty.

Agreed. You don't need that much cotton and try building it on the feedhole side of the atty if it doesn't get better.
