I have a new Reo Grand that I've used for maybe half a bottle of juice and now the button is stuck down? Is this common? Is there an easy fix? I purchased the reo because of all the reviews and it being "indestructible" but so far its been a pretty bad experience. The reomizer I bought about two weeks ago doesn't have posts holes big enough for the wire I wanted to use and my ticket has been opened for for a week now with no response and now my reo won't work.... Any one have any suggestions?? I really want to get this to work but its getting to the point where I might put it on the classifieds and try to recoup as much as possible.

I'd be inclined to PM Rob about this. He cares very much about customer satisfaction ( I know this from personal experience, lol)

Is it a new RM2? With one of the holes smaller than the other?Rob's in the process of milling out the latest ones to make both post holes the same size.

If you've already contacted him , it might have gotten lost somehow when his pc was down for a day or so( he'd made a thread telling us about that)

It's Sunday, so i'll even go so far as to suggest that you give him a call. But be ready for a somewhat lengthy conversation...the man likes to talk to his customers:laugh:

Hi mgb_ :)
First, about the RM2...there was an issue about that. Rob has stated that he will fix it...you can send it in and he'll drill out the hole. He's out of the shop this evening, but I'll be sure to make sure he sees this thread.

As far as the button goes, remove the battery, atty and juice bottle....then rinse the whole mod with very hot water while working the button up and down. If that loosens up the button, you should be good to go. Allow to dry or blow out with compressed air before you reassemble. Keep us posted...

Not sure about being stuck down. I don't think there is anything there to stick. The button is very basic, just a plastic button pressing down on a flat peice of steal. Don't really see how it can stick. There is a lock on the button if you turn it will unlock. As for the holes it's really easy fix just get a 1/32 drill bit and drill them out. If your not comfortable with a drill just wrap electrical tape around the bit and you can drill it by hand, brass is real easy to drill.

:D Hope things get fixed quickly so you can continue on vaping. My button has never been stuck down. I've heard of it happening with Reos and other mods when you short it out from using rebuildable atomizers with a short. Hopefully thats not what happened. You may have got some juice up in the button or maybe somethings up mechanically. Reos are pretty cool in that you can wash them haha. I'm sure you're already fixing it, I see Rob the owner of REOS mods has PM'ed you. Let us know how it turned out.

He might have a button cover on his button....and it pushed down too far, so the button won't move. Just pop the button cover off and when you put it back on, stick a little piece of paper or something in it so it won't slide down so far on the button.

Exactly my thought. Ever since that happened to me I just decided not to put it back on. :)

But the shim inside the button is a great idea.

Have you been sub ohming? It might have got hot and melted the firing button and now it sticks when depressed. Take the cover at the top of the open Reo off by removing the screw between the battery and fluid bottle and look at the button. If it has melted putting a thumb tack on the end of the button will smooth it out. Guess how I know this.

Wow! Recieved a PM from 'redeyeddancer' who I assume is, or works at reos mods, letting me know he'll take care of everything. Button issue was a derlin cap that got pushed all the way down, easy fix! As for the RM2.0, I was able to open it up myself following instructions I was PM'd, along with messages that I can send it back and he will do it for me if I wished (didn't need to!).

My original post was made in anger and frustration because I didn't know about this forum. I tried some facebook groups and reddit but didn't receive any real solutions. Everything is working great, mod is amazing and I'm feeling stupid for not figuring the issues out myself!

tl;dr All my issues have already been identified and corrected, I just didn't know where to look, great mod!

Great news! :) Now you know where to look :D You can find a link to this forum on the website, but also you can find the contact info there and talk to Redeyedancer (Rob) directly if you ever have any other issues. He is the owner and creator of Reosmods....the absolutely best person to talk to for troubleshooting. ;)

I figured. Got some catching up to do!

Now that everything is working I'm blown away by how stupid easy this is. I've been using several $200+ tube mods/attys that work most of the time but are impossible to source parts for, have no real support (see no replacement parts), and resale is dominated by flippers making them hard to get at reasonable prices. Out of everything I've used the two devices I would recommend to a friend without any caveats would be a reo/reomizer or a kayfun lite. And as much as I love my kayfun, the form factor and convenience of refill/squanking with the reo makes me think its going to be a daily driver for sure!
