I'm in the market for another reo grand and am on the fence on which one I should grab. It's between the anodized black, silver vein, and black wrinkle. I was wondering if there is any big difference in the robustness on the different finishes. I'm also guessing that the black wrinkle has a more "grippy" feeling to it and just wanted some confirmation on that. On a side note, I got a couple phoenix V4 atties on a co-op and drilled through one to use on my tumbled raw grand. It is working great and has brought much attention to my neglected grand, which I'm ashamed to say has been sitting on the shelf for 3 years now . Now I figure I get sister for the one I have now.

The black wrinkle is a more "grippy" feel. It is really a nice finish. Very professionally done and snazzy!

Robert said he will have more Grands in stock in a couple of weeks. The last batch had to make a trip back to the shop for machining.

Good to hear you have recovered your Grand from storage. The Grand kicks some serious .... with the lower ohm coils you can get on a RBA.

Here is a photo I took for someone else of the Grand with the black wrinkle finish and the mini with the black anodized finish. The texture on the black wrinkle is very fine...so it's not like holding on to sandpaper.

My drilled phoenix v4s have been performing like champs on my reo. They are basically ERA clones, I torched one of them to a bronze color but I would really like a black one. I had no idea that budzworx made them in colors though

Where do you buy the v4's, I need a bottom feeding rba for my reo, If you could help me that would be great!

hooiser vapes has them, I got mine at a co-op for slightly cheaper, I used a hand drill and a 0.9mm drill bit. I was really scared to drill it but it went fine. Just finished doing another one and drilled out the air hole to 1.4mm

Maybe you can make a tutorial? I'm not very handy with the power tools. LOL

How sturdy are they? they look pretty good!

Didn't know if you saw this video of the black wrinkle:

Pretty :)

They are plenty sturdy, its all stainless steel. But the post (the part you drill through) is plated brass it seems. Trust me, I'm not handy at all either. I stole a bunch of micro drill bits from my brother and just used a regular electric hand drill to do the job. first I took out the screw off in the center pole and drilled as far as the bit let me, then I flipped it over and eyeballed the bit in the center of the post and drilled till it went through and made a hole. I was really scared that I was gonna drill a hole in my hand or something trying to do this but it really is pretty easy.
