I currently use a Vmod xl at 3.7v and considering switching to a Reos, My question is can you use a drip shield to prevent spillage? and what will change for me.
Spillage isn't and issue with a REO. The come with a catch cup built in and a little juice never hurts. Go to reomods.com and see what is available and pricing. The should be some Grands, mini's, and metal 18490's in stock.

Most of us use the blind squonk. We draw on the atty, not firing, and give a little push on the bottle. As soon as you hear a slight gurgling stop! You are ready to vape. Usually there is no juice in the drip well or catch cup.
I think you will enjoy having a durable metal or a handcrafted wood REO. The build is what will change. REO's are made to last and perform.
You don't need a drip shield. There should be so little in the catchcup as to not flow out at all. In over a year of vaping a Grand I have never had the catchcup overflow or drip even when placing it on its side.
I think the big change is in durability. IF you don't lose it it will be around as long as you are. You'll also gain great customer service and a nice community of people to bounce anything off them.
If you are interested Variable Volt Grands will be coming out shortly so you might want to take a look at those.
